We belong to a "camping club" that meets once a month at various locations throughout the southern California area. We tease that it's a camping club but we're really not camping...because you see, not one of us sleeps in a tent! We all have RVs, travel trailers, or 5th wheels that provide us with all of the amenities of home. Now that's my kind of camping!
Each month, hubby and I cannot wait for our little "campout." We can't wait to see our great friends, eat, laugh (alot), eat, sit by the campfire, eat, play games, walk the dogs, and did I mention eat!?!
Our monthly campouts consist of anywhere from 25 to 40 families, with campers ranging in age from 8 to 80...so there's a little something for everybody. Together, we have endured the severe cold, wind, rain, beautiful weather, horrid heat...yet...each month we count the days until we can all meet again for yes, more "camping!"

Sounds like fun!! I slept in a tent once and I hope to NEVER EVER EVER have to do that again. Why would somebody choose to sleep on the ground outside?!? Just not my idea of fun! This does sound like fun.. and I like to eat so I would probably make a great member of your camping club!
Grew up camping, but not that luxurious. Oh how I miss it though. My kids LOVE camping and we try to go when we can... but alas... never often enough.
Have a great time and when gas comes down, head for New England. We are on lot's of property for you to park.

I've never heard of a camping club. What a great idea! It sounds like a blast.
This sounds sooo fun! How fun to meet up with friends monthly, and spend time camping together. I have only slept in a tent twice in my life. I think a motor home would be more to my liking. :)
