In honor of Earth Day, we were to ask ourselves what we are doing to help out the environment and to reflect on what we have done in the past, hoping we have made advancements in our efforts.
So, do I consider myself to be part of the green generation...no, not really. Part of the baby boom generation, yes, but truthfully not so much a part of the green generation. My family could be doing so much more. There are 1 or 2 things that we are doing right though...
We use this "green" trash can to keep all of our cans in until we collect enough for recycling.
As you can see, we have a long way to go. So, if Lelly chooses to ask us again next year about this Earth Day SPT, hopefully we'll have made some improvements to report and share with you from this house!

Good for you Linda! I am liking your target bag...but with you on needing like 10, 15, 20 more! So I was at the grocery today and they had these great reusable bags 10 for $10. I thought it would be great...the hubby was in tow and he would not go for it...I'll have to pick them up when he's not around!
That's Great!! Target has never sent me anything in the mail..
What a pretty target bag! I am selectively green, but this SPT is inspiring me to do more.
Good for you Linda. Being from the baby boom generation, its all new to us huh. Every little bit will help out though. I'm proud of you.
That's great that you recycle! I love the Target bag, but I could never get my purchases in just one!
the target bags are useful, and adorable!! great job recycling your cans. every thing we do is helpful in the big picture!
I have never gotten anything from Target, but they should definitely send out more than one. For some reason recycling is something I have struggled with, so I think it is great you recycle your cans.
This is a great SPT Linda! I remember doing this SPT last year. I need to make a point, and start doing them again. For some reason I got out of habit many months ago when Lelly was taking a break. Now I can't get back into the swing of it.
I think if everyone does a litlle going green, we can all make a difference. :) Have a Happy Day!
I can't believe Target gave you a bag for free! You must be a "beloved" customer!!!
Cool, I did not know that Target had those bags.
Yes, I feel like I help take care of the earth, but I could do better. We recycle at least! We always pick up garbage when we see it too out in nature.

Hi, nice to have you stop by my blog, and here I am again not doing what I am suppose to cause I am blogging...
I walk everyday,(read an older post of mine for that story), and I take trash bags along with me, my poor doggie Teddy cut his pad very badly on a broken beer bottle, so I am extra careful about picking up the trash! Also I am very Organic in my eating, supporting better farming practices also no pesticides in my yard or garden...Thats how I am being Green!

I pretty much do the same as you. Separate containers for recycling. I reuse non-meat Ziploc bags, working on cloth napkins. Little things like that. My reasoning isn't so much being green but being frugal as well. Every little bit helps!
Please feel free to accept the 'make my day' award on my blog.
God bless!
Brenda :)
I think I want one of those target bags-
you are doing great with going green-
every little bit helps!
I just realized I got two of those bags when I did the Black Friday thing. I should definitely be using them. Thanks for the reminder.
