SPT - What Was I Thinking

Lelly's challenge this week: "what was I thinking!?!

I love to work in my yard, I find it very relaxing. One of the things I most enjoy is planting flowers. They add such beauty to a yard.

But every year when I take on this project I say to myself, "what was I thinking!?! I painstakingly follow the brick curbing all around the flower beds throughout the entire front yard...it's really a job!

And...

Just think, only this much more to go and about 3 more of those flats of flowers and I'll be done!

Linda, thanks for stopping by. I love the look of flowers and your yard looks beautiful. The grass is so green. I don't have patience for the annuals, I have to do "hardy" perennials. So good for you, annuals have far more color. :-)

Your yard is beautiful. I love the fact that you can do something so great in such a sweet amount of time.

Working in the Connecticut slate is what drove so many people to move... to California.

Beautiful! You have a great talent.

Beautiful. I'm sure it's worth it.
I just do a few planters. This year I have to figure out how to keep a pesky squirrel from eating my petunias. Any ideas?
Brenda :)

It will be gorgeous when it's finished! Keep plugging, er planting, away. I do not have a green thumb, but I do appreciate it in others.

Your yard is just beautiful, Linda - your grass looks like a golf course, so green and manicured...great job! Everything is just starting to turn green here in MI. Buds are poking through the dirt so that's exciting to see. I'm ready for warm temps and planting flowers!

Thanks so much for the nice comment you left on my blog...you're sweet!

I wish I had the same problem! We're still waiting for it to stop snowing before we plant anything because we don't want it to die once we plant it. Your yard looks great!

Linda-Question here. What does SPT mean? I have never seen that before. Is it related to the what was I thinking? Curious. Because I have seen it before.

Jan - the SPT stands for Self Portrait Tuesday or some say She Photographs Tuesday(s). This was started by Lelly. She gives us an assignment on Friday and we post on Tuesday (or Wed, or Thurs if we're late!) We sign Mr. Linky so that everyone who participates can see them too. Lelly's name is on my sidebar...click over to her blog and take a peek. I've only done about 5 or 6 since I'm so new to blogging but I've had alot of fun and met some nice people.
