I read today that the University of Florida is ranked the #1 party school in the country. The university has made the top 20 party school list for the past 15 years, but has never been No. 1, until now. Florida also came in 1st this year in the categories of students who study the least and students who pack the stadium the most.
The school has had 3 national championships in the last few years (football and basketball) and so school officials basically say that the kids accomplish big things in the sports world...so they're entitled to play hard too.
As the mom of 2 college students, all I can say is that if I was the mom of a University of Florida student, that information would make me sooo proud right about now...NOT!!

and, do you know, linda... it is one of the hardest state schools in the us in which to get??? it really doesn't make any sense!!!

I guess it's just the kid in my but studying the least amount of time and having the most studend support at games sounds like so much fun to me!!!
But my oldest is 4, I think when they start to hit college age I might have a change of perspective!!
I know alot of kids that want to go there. Now I know why.
I wouldn't want that reputation for nothing. Why would anyone be proud of that? Its like saying, hey parents, send your hard earned dollars down here to be drank and smoked away. Hello. Not good at all.
Wow. I would never think to look at where a college ranks on the "party scale".

Thanks for the sweet comment about Charly's hair. I am so tired from the 8 hrs of sitting with her. Poor thing can't fall asleep because her head hurts.. I feel so bad for her!

Oh my gosh, can I just tell you...you made my heart stop with the picture of the football helmet on there. I got all excited because it reminded me that college football will be starting soon! ;)
And I can remember with SDSU was the party school...now it is the school that gets busted for sending text messages out that the drug dealers are going to be out of town, so hurry and get your drugs! :)

Yes, 50 is just so wonderful...NOT! This one was alot harder than 30 or 40. But guess ya gotta just go with the flow..lol.

Shame on the school officials for making such a stupid comment. School is to expensive for that repuation, do you think?
