This is what her bedding looks like.
The bathroom is done in black, white, and red also.
We bought a black bookcase at Ikea, very sleek looking with glass doors. She set her TV on top and then has the shelves for storage. Storage space is extremely limited in this room. As you can see, this room is SMALL but thankfully it's all decorated now and Little Sis is happy with everything, and truly, that's what makes me happy. Now she can just concentrate on the task at hand...starting school on Monday.
Late afternoon the girls and us parents headed out to Target looking for curtains, curtain rods, rugs, and stuff to make the apartment look lived in. We picked up a few things and I'll be hanging up the curtain rods and curtains tomorrow.
Tomorrow will be an emotional day for Mackenzie as her dad, sister, and boyfriend will be heading home early in the morning. Courtney and I both have already had tears over the thought of us leaving. It's not easy on anyone, the student or the parents. Everyone's just a ball of emotions.

Her college apartment is very chic! I can tell she grew up in the Trading Spaces generation. Beautiful.
I love the black and white with red! Very pretty. I still remember the first time we left my daughter at college, We both cried and cried!
I love her decorating. The chair is so cute and really fits in well. I'll be praying for you today.
Enjoy your time together and get her ready...Did you make her some of her favorite foods and freeze them yet? At least stock the pantry with them because nothing says comfort more than food. The apartment looks great. Love that computer chair.
I like that color scheme, and the computer chair is perfect. The good thing about Ikea is that most of their stuff is small.
The chair is fab and the whole place looks great!!!! Little sis will have a great place to live and study in. I know this is going to be tough on you all - hang in there!!! Email and the phone help - as do holidays and visits. Thinking of you!!
The room looks great - what fun. I love Ikea.
I hope that all goes well and there is not too much sadness.
Linda:
I am right there with you. I had to leave the next day as I couldn't bear to say goodbye to my little girl.....we gotta let them go huh?

P.S. Love the black & white!
You did a great job finding the perfect look. I love your background. I can't remember if I had already mentioned that I like the look of your updated blog. Have a great evening. Kathi
That's so neat that you get to share this time with your daughter. I know you'll enjoy the rest of your time in the valley.
btw, IKEA is where my daughters and I head when we have more than a day to spend in Phoenix. Love it.
God bless,
Brenda :)
Wow! I could totally relate! The room looks fab...I'm sure she is going to love it!
The room looks great, Linda. I love the colors, the chair and the bedspread!
Hope everything goes well, I know it's an emotional time.
Hugs,
Donna
How cute is all that! Ikea is the best place to get fun stuff...
I can't wait to see you & meet...
LOVE that computer chair!!! AND all the black and white everywhere! Change is hard... but is is great too!
ok, now I totally want her room and bath too! I'm kind of a diy kinda girl and I would have gone to the goodwill and grabbed a chair and then bought an extra flat sheet and glammed the chair up, complete with fringe and a boa! Yeah, classy but a little on the trashy side. LOL
