It's Friday

And I'm nosy...

So here's the question: It's summer, it's hot, and it's all about ice cream!

* What's your favorite flavor?
* Hand dipped or soft serve?
* Sugar cone, waffle cone, regular cone, or in a cup?

I love Tastee Freeze soft serve ice cream on a regular cone...SWIRL! (you know half vanilla and half chocolate).

If I'm at Baskins Robbins, I'll get either chocolate chip or pistachio nut...delish!

Do any of you remember Swensen's Ice Cream? They had the most amazing chocolate chip ice cream of all time! I wonder if they're still around?

And what about Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor? Didn't they have an ice cream treat served in a trough or something that was called the "Zoo?"

It's Friday, so relax and enjoy some ice cream...it's my treat!

I remember Farrells! I used to go there with my friends when I was was a teen. The guys were likely to get "the zoo". What a fun memory you brought up.
I'm really not into ice cream. When we stop for ice cream, I'm more likely to get a root beer float. If I do have a cone, I like a sugar cone.
This was fun!

Happy Friday! Soft serve chocolate and vanilla twist, BR peanut butter and chocolate, and dairy queen reese's peanut butter cup freezes (is that what they're called!) all are yummy good!

Waffle cone, PB Choc. Done.

You must be reliving all those SPT's from this week and still dreaming of ice cream

I am not fussy at all. I like most ice cream. But I do love anything that has a little chocolate in it. That always makes me smile. In fact. I could use a smile today. Yum.

Have a great weekend.

You are so fun! I love your friday questions..
I grew up a mile away from a Farrells & a Marie Calenders. I loved going to Farrells for the candy more then the ice cream. I was so sad when they closed it down.
We have Cold Stone Creamery here & I love the Sweet ice cream with home made brownies... It's so good..

I'm a rocky road girl, myself! When I go to Cold Stone I put together the stuff for rocky road. If it's Ben and Jerry's...Cherry Garcia. Always. I'm also a sugar cone person. Love those things! Wow! Now I'm gonna have to run out for some ice cream! LOL!
Have a great weekend!

My favorite is a shake. My mother in law taught me years ago to dip my favorite ice cream (extreme moose tracks) into a cup, add milk and stir, walla!

Beings I am not a big ice cream eater...I really like rocky road, tin roof...but mostly HOMEMADE! That I can eat tons of!

And Ferrell's OH MY GOSH! That was the treat of all treats. I am such a packrat, that I bet if I looked hard enough I could find a plastic animal from the Zoo!!
I always came home with a giant jawbreaker for their treat store!!!
We have a milk proccessing plant called "Gossner Food"
http://www.gossner.com/home/gossner/admin.php?do=ipage&pageid=8&mid=6 ,in Heyburn. They have homemade ice cream. That I hear is to die for. They even have fresh berry ice cream.
Way to get me craving something I don't even crave!!!

As an ice cream lover, it's hard to pick just one flavor. Probably French silk or turtle or a thick chocolate concrete malt....mmmmmm! Give me hand scooped or soft serve in any kind of cone :-)

Blessings,
Tammy ~@~

Oh YES I do remember! I don't think either of them are around any more.

I love Ben and Jerry ice cream for home. When I get ice cream out I'm strange. I like vanilla ice cream with strawberry and caramel topping. Yes both at the same time.

We have a great little ice cream shop down the street and they make homemade ice cream daily. They know my strange sundae there. I guess no one else ever orders that but me. LOL

Hugs,
Joanne

I remember going to Farrell's as a little girl. I had some awesome "girlfriend time" with my favorite cousin this past Friday night and we topped the evening off with ice cream from Coldstone Creamery...yummy! I had "Cheesecake Fantasy" in a waffle cone...it was soooo good! (Can't have any of that anymore for the time being - no sugar for me for a while with everything going on with my health so it was one last hurrah! LOL)

Have a wonderful week, Linda!

I love rochy road and chocolate almond.
We don't have a Dairy Queen in our town but I love dipped cones....the vanilla soft ice cream with the chocolate coating. If we travel and pass a Dairy Queen I have to stop. :) Yummy!

We don't have any of those here in Iowa but we do have Dairy Queen which we visit on occasion. We love homemade ice cream amd Highland Roberts Homemade Vanilla with toppings and in floats. Also love orange sherbet and not the cheap stuff but quality. I cannot tolerate cheap ice cream.
