So here's the question: What's your favorite movie of all time? Is it a classic, a comedy, a chick flick maybe?
I'll always consider Wizard of Oz my favorite. It conjures up so many good childhood memories for me. My mom would pop up a big bowl of popcorn, we'd make a "pallet" on the floor in front of the TV, and I'd watch this movie in awe. I'm still in awe whenever I see it.
At work last Halloween, I was even Glenda the Good Witch...
Other all time favorites are Terms of Endearment, The Big Chill, and Steel Magnolias.

Favorite - Star Wars or Bull Durham. One I HAVE to watch whenever it's on - When Harry met Sally, Steel Magnolias, Pretty in Pink (I LOVE Blaine), Sixteen Candles. By far the one I quote the most - Elf. Oh and Home Alone and The Santa Clause ALWAYS get me in the Christmas spirit! Ok, I'll stop now!
Persuasion - would have to be my favorite - it's about love - what else is there?!
Hum...I am going to have to think on this one...
by the way, check out my blog..you have been tagged!
I loved "Big" I still crack up laughing when he wears the tux & eats the little corn on the cob thing....
I Love Movies & have seen so many. I loved Elf too, it's a crack up.
I have to say though- Wizard of Oz scared me as a kid. I think I watched it in my room one Sunday Evening & it the witch scared me to death...
WOW fav of ALL time?? Loved the Wozard of Oz.... Loved Somewhere in Time... but also the Bourne Series!
How fun! I have so many it's hard to choose. I have to put them in categories. For kids it would have to be Parent Trap, for suspense Rear Window with Grace Kelly, for romance Persuation and Pride and Prejudice, for family Driving Miss Daisy. Oh it's so hard to choose. I love all of those. Have a great weekend. Kathi
hi, linda:)
i would say that terms of endearment is my all time fave!!! with a few others VERY close behind...
old: imitation of life and young at heart.
not as old: steel magnolias and driving miss daisy
recent: the family stone and the holiday
have a great weekend!!
love,
dani
A few of my favorites are Driving Miss Daisy, Fried Green Tomatoes, The Notebook, Steel Magnolias, and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
You are so cute. I think you would make the best good witch Linda. You are such a great sport.
My favorite is the old version of Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. One year my 2 daughters, our foreign exchange student, my sister, her husband, her daughter and myself went to the school carnival as the Wizard of Oz. I was the lion, my sister was the tin man, her husband was the scarecrow, her daughter was Dorthy, my youngest daughter was the good witch, my oldest daugther was the wicked witch and our foreign exchange student was the yellow brick road. It was a hoot!!!
You have three of mine listed. However, The Sound of Music has to be my favorite.
Oh this is so easy.
I have always thought that The Breakfast Club would always be my favorite movie. After all I am a 80's girl. But then O Brother How Art Thou came out. Wow, that was a great family movie. My mother and my grandmother even watched it and enjoyed it, that never happens. My daughter loved singing along with the songs. And of course, George Clooney was it in. Why he didn't get an Oscar for that, I will never understand.
I love "Places in the Heart" with Sally Field. She plays a widow in the the 30's trying to save her family and farm by growing cotton. She gathers together a rag tag group to help her. They pulled together and worked their fingers to the bone to save the farm, and they did. I love their tenacity. It reminds me of life and how we must never ever, ever give up. Great movie.
i cannot believe that i left out the shawshank redemption!!! i thought about it in the middle of the night (i don't know why;)...

I just made a list of my favorite 36 movies in honor of 36th birthday. I had a hard time choosing 36 much less one. I have a hard time choosing a "favorite" of most things because it all depends of what mood I am in.
Hi Linda,
It's hard to pick a favorite, here are a couple: ET, Beaches, Steel Magnolias and I enjoy the classic, black and white monster movies. My dad was a huge fan and we had to watch what he wanted :) Bride of Frankenstien, Mummy, Wolfman, like that :) and war movies:) I also like Elf:) I guess there are alot that I enjoy. How's the project going?
Warmly, Deb
I really love yours, too - The Wizard of Oz is in my top 5 - fluctuating between 1 and 2. To Kill A Mockingbird, Terms of Endearment, The Breakfast Club, Forest Gump, I could go on and on....
