We arrived home late last night and boy there's nothing like sleeping in your own bed! This last week of being in such close quarters with a husband that snores loud enough to raise the roof was completely exasperating...and exhausting. He did go out one night and buy some of those nose strips and some throat spray to help with the snoring, and it did help a tiny bit, but not much. It got so bad that one night Brandon slept in the car. I really wonder if Howard realizes how much his snoring affects others because it's pure torture for anyone who sleeps in the same room with him!
I don't go back to work until the end of the week and it's a good thing because I've got so much to do around here. I've got bills to pay, birthday good mail to acknowledge, laundry and unpacking to do, posts to write, Halloween decorating/organizing to start...and most importantly, sleep to catch up on!
We're also moving forward with getting our house ready to sell so we'll be having some of the inside painted and the complete exterior painted too. We got the bid done before we left and will be organizing this over the next couple of weeks. Our house is in really good shape but there are always things that need to be done when you want to put your home on the market. We know it's not the time to sell a home with the market as bad as it is, but we want to be ready. Wait, I should rephrase that...I want to be ready. Howard is fighting me tooth and nail about moving, but that's another post completely!
I also can't wait to catch up with all of you, I feel so disconnected! I hope your all settling in and enjoying the beautiful fall weather. It's glorious isn't it!!

I am so glad your home & back to your own bed... Wow- Howard needs to go to a sleep Dr to get help so that you can get some sleep too...
Are you going to put your house up now or wait until after the holidays?
Good luck & it's good to have you back...
Welcome home!!! I agree... there is NOTHING like your own bed!!!
So, glad you are home! I have missed you!!
There is nothing like home. I love sleeping in my own bed and having my shower.
I glad you had a good trip.
you are right, linda... there's is nothing like falling into one's own bed after time away from home!!!
my john is a snorer, too. but, somehow i am able to sleep through it. now, trying to go to sleep with the snoring is another thing.
enjoy your week:D
love,
dani
Thanks for visiting my blog!! To answer your question... the letters I used on my SPOOKY decoration were actually stamps. I hope that helps you! :o)
That man needs a C-pap machine. Course if he is like my husband, he won't wear it anyway! My husband is always complaining how he doesn't get any sleep. I'm the one not getting sleep listening to him!
Hi there!
Thanks for stopping by our blog earlier! I can relate to your snoring story, I have a great solution...sleep in seperate beds! I have never slept better now that I sleep in the guest room! hee hee My husband can snore and I can still get a good night's sleep. I wish I had moved over to the guest room years ago!
Good luck with your move decision! We loved CA, but have found that CO is a lot slower lifestyle, and there is not near as much "keeping up with the Jones" which is so refreshing. The clean mountain air, good schools, less expensive cost of living, etc...has all been a good fit for us! I am sure OR is beautiful too, but if your parents in CO, that is a big draw to be closer to family!
Best of luck with the decision and I will visit back to your neat blog!
Happy Monday! Happy Fall!
I understand what you are facing. I just sold my home and I'm on the road.
I hope you recoup and have some time to relax in your own bed.
I can't wait to get settled.
Hey my friend...
So, are you recovering?
Missed ya
Linda, thank you for stopping by my blog! It's so nice to know that someone is out there! And thank you for your concern about our friends...I know everything will be fine now. I don't know if you noticed, but our house is on th market now, too. I can totally relate to finally fixing those little things...why do we do it for someone else and not for ourselves? I don't know, but that's always the case with us! I pray God sends a buyer faster than you can even imagine!
I know what you mean about Home Sweet Home, I just posted about the same thing...I am a homebody at heart and there is nothing like your own bed...we were away 12 days and I cried like a baby wanting to come home, never been so homesick in all my life...we were in Italy and you would think that I would have enjoyed my time there with my husband, I did enjoy my husband, but wanted to be home...made it back yesterday and kissed the ground, we are so blessed to be where we are....I am glad that you had a safe trip, sorry about your lack of sleep though...wine definately would help the sleeping better...that is what I have to do at night as well, half a glass (though I haven't found a wine that I like and have to choke it down) it does help me sleep better.
Glad you made it home safe and sound. I guess the closest thing to the comfort of my own bed when traveling is having my pillow. Have to have my own pillow.
Rest up and God bless!
Brenda :)
I'm gonna have to agree with The Snoring Man on this one -- DON'T MOVE!!!! It's a true pain. I used to love to move when I was younger, but I'm not younger any more, and it took my body a full two weeks to begin to feel normal again. UGH!
So where are you moving?
