Jake

One of the things I really miss about Jake's old life is being able to take him to the groomer on a regular basis. We have a great shop nearby that I'd take Jake to about every 8 weeks and we'd have the works done. Boy would he be mad at me when I'd pick him up. He'd usually give me the cold shoulder in the car on the way home.

This shop has the sweetest groomers and they do an outstanding job. They even have a photographer that comes in to take pictures at the holidays. Here's a picture of Jake a few years back...

Jake's been looking pretty scruffy here lately so today was the day...like it or not, I was Jake's new groomer. I gave him a trim then gave him a nice bubble bath in the sink in the laundry room. Nothing is good about his paralysis but at least he can't move around and try and hop out of the sink...

A bath, his hair blown dry, a little more trimming, and finally we were all done. It's definitely not as good as the professionals but it looks so much better. He's such a good dog.

Another thing I can now add to my resume...Dog Groomer.

Awww...Jake is too sweet! I think you did a great job of making him look all spiffy! Bella fights me tooth and toenail everytime I try to bathe her!

Oh Linda ~ Jake is just the sweetest little boy. I bet he feels so much better now that he's "primped"! Bear doesn't like baths either and usually claws me to death!

Hope you and your family have a great Christmas!

Hugz,
Michele

That is the sweetest little doggy face.

David is in charge of the Dog bathing at our house. Harley is way to big for me to fight with.

What a sweetie Jake is...and he looks so handsome! I tried grooming Crumpet once myself...it was so very sad. He was all choppy and totally messed up for weeks. I decided to leave it to the pros after that!

You are an impressive dog groomer! Jake looks great! My 100 lb. dog would look great too, but how do I get him in the sink? :)

Good to see Jake again! I was wondering how he was doing. What a pretty dog. I've always loved your header picture of him.

He is so darn cute!

I am the dog groomer too. Only because it's easier and cheaper and I don't have to make an appointment.

What a sweet little guy. I'm sorry about the paralysis. That must be frustrating for him.

He's just so cute! I think about you guys all the time wondering how he is doing.
You did a great job. You don't even want to see my dog after I've tried to cut her hair. She even hides from herself!!!
