One Of These Days...

It will all come together and my house will be decorated for Christmas. I have to stay home long enough to get it done though! We've had something planned every weekend for at least the last 3 weekends so my Christmas decorating has not gotten finished yet. Heck, it's barely even gotten started!

We do have our outside lights up and we made a stop at Pottery Barn today (on our way home from Camping Club Weekend) so tomorrow just may be the day. Have you seen some of the Christmas decorations at Pottery Barn!? B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L! Today, all of the Christmas items were 50% off! I bought some red, white, and silver ornaments, 4 chenille stockings plus a small one for Jake, a reindeer lamp, flowers, and a gift for some hard to buy for friends. This couple has impeccable taste so it's hard to know if your gift will be well received...I think we did good though.

My little kitchen tree is up and here's a picture of it. It needs a tree topper and more decorations but it's coming along...

And look at this cute ornament. Just perfect for a kitchen tree don't you think?

For those of you who love wreaths as much as I do, here's a great deal. I found a table top wreath holder at Rite-Aid last week. They were also 50% off so this cost me a whopping $6.00. I like to display wreaths for each holiday and thought this would be really versatile. It's adjustable so you can adjust the height for the size of the wreath your displaying.

Now this next picture is something I bought at the thrift store during Thanksgiving weekend when we girls went thrifting. Remember I told you about the store that had 50% off all of their Christmas stuff? Well, look what came home with me. I just need to get some greenery to place around that tray...

It was perfectly packed up in it's box, styrofoam and all, looking like it had never been used. $5.00 people!! Did I tell you I think I like thrifting now!?!

Now you know the holidays are here when these come out. I'm a sucker for dish towels and display them for EVERY holiday.

And look what's blooming at my house. Is this called a Christmas cactus? My good friend Cindy gave it to me for Christmas last year and it's blooming beautifully right about now...and just in time.

It's not a total loss at my house but I've got a long way to go. So like I said, tomorrow just may be the day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEBBIE AND MANDI!

Linda,

Everything looks great! I can't believe you found that beautiful nativity for only $5! Wow! I need to get myself to some thrift stores! I love Pottery Barn, too, so I'll have to check here to see if they have a sale going at our local store.

Have a terrific Monday!

You're doing great! I love your kitchen tree. My Grandma had a Christmas cactus that was huge. I remember seeing it bloom at Christmas - beautiful!

Good Morning Miz Linda,
I'm in the same situation as you with getting my decorating done. I have boxes piled up everywhere. We did manage to get most of the outside done this weekend but I'm more worried about the inside *smiles*
I love your kitchen tree, what do you have it sitting in? A wire basket planter thingy? With something white around the base? And Chef Santa is my kind of ornament, so cute.
We have a Rite Aid here and I've never stepped foot in it but I've been wanting a wreath holder forever it seems. I'll definitely have to go check it out, thanks for the heads up!
Hope you have a wonderfull blessed week!

Love the wreath holder. I'm going to search that one down. Oh and thanks for the heads up on Pottery Barn. I've kind of stayed away from their trying to curb my spending but hey, when there's a sale....?

It looks like your coming along just fine. What a good deal on your nativity set, and I like the way you displayed it on a silver platter.
Have a great week, Linda.

Hi Linda ~ everything looks wonderful! I'm not totally done with decorating either. Wish we had a Pottery Barn nearby...but then, I'd be more broke than I am!

Cute stuff & it's so great that the stores are having such good sales before Christmas.

I just love your kitchen tree. I'm going to have to think about that for next year.

Love your thrift store purchase! $5.00....that's great.

If you have a Kirklands in your area, they had the cutest little tea towels. They have to be spot cleaned so I'm thinking they're for decoration only, but they are stinkin cute.
