Yes, this is a new year and I resolve to take more self-portraits in 2009! As a matter of fact, I snapped this picture while waiting in the car on New Year's Day. My first self-portrait of the new year...

I don't know how I missed your post from yesterday, but I just read it and it was so touching! Looks like you and I share some common emotions when it comes to our girls. You're so right, as they get older, you long for the days when they were young and you were the center of their existence. Brittany will be heading off to college next year AND, we'll be facing a move to another state. It's going to be so tough, but I'll have to get through it one way or another. Just know that I'm thinking about you and I hope and pray that today will be a better day.
What a great idea to take self-portraits! If I can just remember to do it!!! :)
I am so bad at self portraits - I never like any pictures of myself! I will try though!
I'm not fond of the way I look now that I've "aged"...haha! I may embark on this challenge, though, just to step out of my comfort zone.

You first self portrait of the new year is great! I do not have luck with self portrait so you won't be seeing many...if any on my blog! LOL! But I do like your resolve to take more! Can't wait to see them all!

I love self portraiture! I always laugh a little, however, when I'm taking a SP with one of my kids or a friend in a public place, and someone stops and offers to take the picture for me. SPs have a certain look that just isn't the same as a photo that someone else took--I mean, it wouldn't be a SELF portrait if someone else took the photo. Does that make sense?
I convinced my family to do a group SP at a public ice skating rink last night--progress!

I hardly have any photo's of me. The only ones are taken by my dad or sister. My husband never takes photo's of me, course he is a landscaper person, so I can't really say much.

I was getting so tickled at myself one day recently because I was trying to take my picture.
I bet I took 20 trying to get a decent one.
