OH...MY...GOODNESS!!

You are not going to believe what I got in the mail today...

This is mail that I sent out in November! November 28th to be exact!

I'm so embarrassed!

This package was a Christmas gift for an ornament exchange that I participated in. Obviously it never made it to my partner! You want to know the worst part about this, I received my ornament from this person and even hung it on my tree proudly.

I'm so embarrassed!

The other bad part about this is that I don't even remember who hosted the swap so I can't contact her to verify this person's exact name and address.

Oh my goodness, I'm so embarrassed!

I now again have the person's name who I was sending it to but the address probably is wrong or maybe she moved. I'll google her name and see what I can come up with. With the way the US Mail handled this package (keeping it in their possession for 5 months!), maybe I can have it in her hands by this next Christmas!

Lordy, Lordy, I'm so embarrassed!

Oh, that is such a bummer, Linda! I can't believe it's taken the post office this long to return it to you! On second thought, yes, I can! Sure hope you're able to find the correct address and get it on it's way. I really feel for you!

Be sure to drop by today...I'm having a giveaway!

Linda that is crazy! I can't believe it took 5 months to get that package returned to you. Try whitepages.com if you can't find the persons address anywhere else. I hope it works out for you! Hugs, Loretta

Oh that sucks Linda...it wasn't your fault at all! 5 months...what the heck? Seems the post office needs a little help these days!

These things happen. I'm a huge fan of GoodMail and I happen to believe in the better late than never idea. You'll find it goes to the right home eventually.

Love your blog by the way!

Gotta love the USPS! No reason for YOU to be embarrassed! I participated in several ornament swaps and . . . because I'm anal retentive . . . I have the original emails from them saved. Do you want me to send you the hosts of the swaps, in hopes that maybe one of them is the one you participated in? If so, email me (my email is on my blogger profile) and I'll be happy to.

Jennifer :-)

Oh, isn't that something!!!! Could it have been a swap with Foxloves, folly, etc...? Good luck tracking the gal down...that is just something else!

That is crazy!

It wasn't the swap that Tiburon at Shark Bait hosted was it?

Hope you can figure it out.

How frustrating...
Five months is a long time.
But you have proof that it wasn't your fault.

That is sooooo frustrating. sometimes when I send things to my parents who live in Canada --they have a funky zip code - T0K-0K0 and some of their packages have ended up in Tokyo----------CRAP

Oh my goodness. That's too bad Linda. I hope you can find her. Maybe she'll read your blog and realize it's her. Thanks for stopping by. We do have blue sky right now. It does get hazy towards August, and then after a good rain it gets brilliant blue again. Kathi

Oh gosh...I wonder where the package has been sitting? I'm SO behind on my blog reading and am just catching up with your last five posts. Love the chalkboard project!

Ohhhhh nooooooo! I'm so sad for you.
I can't believe they couldn't get it back to you sooner.
You know blogville, someone will know how to find her!

Darn Post Office! I just hate when this happens. I know this person will "show up" and you can get her correct address. No need to be embarrassed, though. XO

Wow, that's pretty unbelievable. Well, maybe not. I wouldn't feel badly...hopefully you'll track down the recipient. I'm behind on my reading so am trying to catch up some today.

I'm glad these kind of things happen to other people also--otherwise I would be forced to contemplate the possibility that I am just cursed. AND--I think maybe we should go back to the Pony Express.

Oh no! Bless your heart! :) Five months is a rediculously long time for them to keep that package!
