I completely lose track of time...and my days, when I work alot of hours back to back...which is the only thing I've done so far this week.
So I've got nothing to share. Oh, I probably do but I'm just too tired to think about it. I was supposed to meet some friends for lunch today...too tired! It sure sounded good at the time though. It's ok, I'm meeting one of them in the morning for coffee instead. I'll be refreshed and roaring to go by then.
When I work 3-12+ hour days in a row, I feel like I've missed out on something. Like I've missed out on life in the "real world." Like life has passed me by...and in a sense it has.
When I'm at work, I love it. When I'm at home, I love it. But the two don't mix. On the days that I work, my normal life just passes me by...
I've missed you!
I did see the news and video of the Domino's Pizza workers and the sick stuff they were up to. Unreal isn't it!

I was wondering where you were. I thought maybe you took a vacation! No such luck!
I didn't hear about the Domino's workers????
I've done some 12 hour shifts and when you do them, it's about all you do!
I'm going to haver to check out the news - I didn't hear about the pizza.
Girl, I know what you mean about work and home! I have to work all next week YUCK! It really is a rarity, that I have to work...I'll be working with my hubby, so it won't be too bad...(I think) LOL ;)
No, I haven't heard about domino's...haven't had the TV on all day! I'll go turn it on..so I can hear about what I've been eating... ;) Nancy
Linda,
I don't work and I often wonder where my day has been especially when 3-4:00 rolls around and I wonder what I accomplished today. You at least have a legitimate excuse.
Okay--I will be brave and come out of the lurking darkness. My name is Lisa Bishop and I have loved the Hirt family for at least 20 years!I have a picture of you about a year old sitting on your Mom's lap at my apartment in Fairbanks. Talk about remember when! Annie came and stayed with our family here in Montana for a summer. We absolutely LOVE & ADORE and stalk Annie. ANyways---how cool is it that you play Rugby for BYU??!! Women who play Rugby totally rock! It is one of my favorite sports right up there with soccer and hockey. And 20 and a Senior??!! You are both beautiful and brilliant. I don't want you to freak out or anything--I promise I am not going to bug you or anything--just wanted to say i am so happy that you have been so successful in your life. It is sooo cool how all of you Hirt's are doing such cool and interesting things with your lives.---Liksa
I don't work and I wonder where the time goes!
I did notice your absence.
I must watch the late news......I haven't seen the pizza news yet.
Hello my gorgeous friend, I just wanted to pop over and say -HI, I havent been blogging much, and wanted you to know that even though Im not online much, I do think about you often. The lovely things you have sent me are in my new house and make me smile and think of you everytime I see them.
I will get back into the groove when I get a computer at home, but I dont know when that will be, but for now - someone half way around the world thinks you are amazing!!
Lots of love - m......xxx
Hi Linda,
I don't work outside the home and still it feels like the weeks are flying by! Those are some long hours you work. I saw the Domino's report. Ugh! For the last few years I've just about given up eating out. A friend told me her and her family went to a local pizza place and the man making the pizza was sweating and it was dripping all over the pizza as he made it. I guess it's not as bad as the kid putting the cheese up his nose but I can't help but think of it every time I see a pizza! No thanks, if I can't wash it before I eat it I'll pass!
i know what you mean about the 3 in a row....all you do is eat, sleep, shower, and work...but i do it every week and if its my weekend, i do 4 in a row...because the time off afterwards IS SO WORTH THE FEW DAYS YOU LOSE WHILE WORKING! at least to me. this week i worked mon, tues, and wed...next week i work thurs, fri, sat and sun, so i have a full SEVEN days off without taking a single vacation hour! yipee!
I didn't hear about the pizza workers, (didn't make it to arkansas / ha) you'll have to post a link for us!
those are some tough hours...I think the same thing when I think about working + taking care of my child. It seems to go straight from the alarm clock going off to turning the alarm clock back on before I climb into bed. Don't know where the 17/18 hours in between goes!
