I Can Feel The Ocean Breeze Now...

It's Saturday and nothing exciting to report from here. I feel like I'm going through a blogging slump. I have things I'd like to write about and share but just don't have the energy to do it. I'm sure you've all experienced these slumps too right?

As much as I enjoy participating in the fun things around blogland, they take effort and energy. I always have the best of intentions but then don't follow through. Real life sure does get in the way of blogging doesn't it!

Plus, I'm without a computer! I'm using hubby's right now and believe me, he asks me at least every 10 minutes if I'm finished with it yet. As my friend Jill says, talk about a "groove buster!" My computer bit the dust and I'm in mourning big time! I loved my computer (probably a little too much). My favorites, my pictures, everything, gone. I'm surprised I'm not more upset, but really, what can be done about it now.

The heat doesn't help either. It has a way of draining a person's energy. It's been almost 100 degrees everyday lately so I think summer is here to stay. I came up with the idea to run away to the beach tomorrow for a few days to escape the heat and boy did hubby jump at the idea! So that's what we're doing tomorrow, we're running away to the beach! Old downtown Ventura has cute, quaint shops so I plan on spending the next few days browsing around shops and taking long walks for exercise. The only thing missing will be my fun shopping buddies, my daughter Courtney and sister Debbie. I love shopping with these girls but hubby will do in a pinch!

So yep, the groove buster, Jake, and I will be relaxing with the cool ocean breezes for a few days. Hope your first few days of summer are relaxing too!

P.S. I'll be picking a winner tonight for my 300th post giveaway!

I feel your pain Linda. My computer is living on borrowed time. I just hate change and am waiting for the day mine bites the dust. I have saved all of my pictures on cd's and will begin a list of my favorites soon-just in case. I hope you have a great time at the beach. You have me thinking about vacation now. hmmmmmm Hugs, Loretta

Well Linda,

I guess we both are in slumps with blogging. My computer crashed this past week and I just got her back on Thursday and oh how I missed her those days. I ended up taking her to a Data Saver in town because Apple tried to retrieve the data but it showed there wasn't any. In any case she is all better.

I think once we move (let's hope sooner rather than later) and I have a place to decorate (don't want to put forth the effort here) I will have something of interest to blog about. In the mean time if something comes along that I think would be nice to share I will certainly blog about it.

Have a great weekend,
Cheri

oh argh, if my computer bit the dust, I'd be in tears.....for quite a while!
I've hit blogging slumps too, and they frustrate me, because I too have things to say, but the right "groove" might not be found.
I hope you enjoy the beach....it's my favorite get away!

Oh Linda, I know what you mean. I've been in a blogging slump ever since I started working at the end of April. I took off for Santa Barbara last weekend just to escape the heat and have some time with Mr.Honey. I didn't want to come back, it is always so refreshing to be at the beach! Hope you have a lovely time in Ventura.

I am sure the ocean breezes are almost as nice as river breezes. Enjoy your time away.

The wedding was beautiful and I am having so much fun. Niece posted some pictures on her blog today.

Linda! How fun to have a new blogging buddy! So glad you dropped by. Consider yourself in the drawing and yes I will be selling my art. Thanks for asking!I'm painting more than ever and I'm exploring ways to sell over the internet. I even take commissions! Please come back often...especially Monday, to see if you won the the little Nest painting.

Linda,
Hope your get-away is nice and relaxing. There's nothing quite like an ocean breeze. Even though I live in the desert, I have visited the ocean. It's awesome!

Glad you stopped by my blog. Please visit any time.

I does take time and effort and sometimes my brain is just fried of any ideas. I love blogging with my sister, because we can help each other though the slump times. This week we just both slumped! Hope to get back on track.

Hope you have a wonderful time at the beach. The beach has a way of melting our cares away for a time.

Enjoy!

Hope your getaway is awesome. I've only been blogging for 5 months and slumps happen here too.
I always enjoy reading yours, so relax, shop and come back and tell us all about it!

I'm so sorry about your computer! That happened to me, too, and it was awful.

I am in a slump quite often these days. I want to write, then I'm afraid that it is just too personal, then I just write a draft, then I decide not to publish it. Who knows... I might get better at some point.

I hope you have a wonderful trip to the beach. I understand the heat. It was 93 this afternoon on my deck IN THE SHADE!!! It is only the end of May. I can only imagine how hot it will be by August. I think I'll be at the beach by then, too!

Have a great trip and I hope you get a new computer, or your old one fixed (!) soon.

I am jealous about the whole cool ocean breeze thing-----sounds wonderful. Yes husbands do fill in in a "pinch" (tee, hee) are you going to get a new computer. My husband had to buy me this lap top as he was tired of me hogging in on his computer time.

Hi Linda! Sorry to hear about your computer! That just stinks. I hope you'll be able to pull the hard drive and at least retrieve your pictures. I've starting backing up my most precious pictures online so I'll at least be able to retrieve them there if such a horrible thing should occur! : )
I've been in a HUGE blogging slump and finally have begun to come out of it. Yours will pass, too!
Take care!
