So here's the question: It's September and Fall is in the air (well not where I live but in your neck of the woods maybe?)
Are you experiencing fall like weather? Have you done any fall decorating yet? When will you bring out the Halloween decorations?
It's still hotter than heck where I live but yesterday I brought out my "Harvest" Yankee candle and Fall potpourri. It's a start!

hello... hapi blogging... have a nice day! just visiting here....
It's not cold here, but there's something in the air... definitely changing the seasons...
It's cooled down a bit here, mostly into the upper 70's. We are even seeing some color change in the trees. After I cut more bittersweet I'll be all done decorating inside. Then in October we'll get our pumpkins. We don't celebrate Halloween but we'll have mums, pumpkins, and gourds decorating our front porch. Hugs, Loretta
I live in Bright Indiana a really really tiny rural town 25 minutes outside of Cincicnnati, Ohio. Things have definitely taken a welcome turn. When I walk the dogs I notice that some leaves have been changing and there is definitely a coolness in the air. I LOVE this time of year! I have pulled out a few decorations but the rest will have to wait a little bit until the son closes on his house and gets all of his junk, I mean stuff out of the way so I can get to the rest of my decorations, which include a fall/halloween tree!! Can't wait! Have a great day, Sue
It's funny you should mention it.....pop on over to my blog for a cup of coffee and read my post today, I'm talking about the signs of fall in my town! I love the picture you have today, it is so beautiful. I hope you have a great three day weekend!
Hugs, Sharon
We are having some beautiful weather here in NC. It is mid 80's, breezy and NO humidity. Nothing says fall around here like no humidity.
I haven't pulled any fall things out yet. I will probably wait a few weeks. I love fall candles!
I was doing a little shopping the other day and couldn't believe that there were some Christmas things out already. (Costco and Michael's) Geez!
Yeah, I WISH there was some Fall weather happening around here! It doesn't get Fall-like around here until sometime in November. BUT, I've been slowly bringing out my Fall decorations for a couple of weeks. I love Fall and miss the turning of the leaves and the crisp, cool weather. Makes me long for the Midwest!
It's cool here. As I type this it is 58 degrees, but it will warm up later in the day. I have to be dragged into Fall, so no decorations are out yet. I don't mind Fall so much, but knowing what comes after it is depressing to me!
I swear we've only had a month of hot weather here, which isn't bad utility wise!
But for sure you can tell the weather is changing!
Our leaves are still green and firmly on the trees!! lol!! My flowers are doing wonderful!! Summer does not come to the Midwest until about early June and we have mostly warm weather through October and then lots of rain. Summer and fall are the only seasons I hate to see go. I enjoy being outdoors or just the view from my window.
No decorsating yet, but my piles of things I am buying is getting higher and higher. Around October 1, I will start to decorate. That way everything is still fresh for Halloween!!
Have a wonderful weekend, Linda!!
xoxo

Hi Linda,
The weather here is just like Fall...Perfect :) and YES..it's looking like fall at my house.
Sorry it's so hot for you ...
You have to start somewhere with your fall decorating :) Love the smell of those candles. I have a couple of "pumpkin" smelling ones around the house. Yummy.
Have a great long weekend.
Warmly,
Deb :)
Well, the nights have now dropped below 70 and the mornings feel pretty delicious. The days are still blazing hot, but I DID start my Fall decorating this past Monday. I put out the leaves, the pumpkins, the acorns and all that good stuff. My Fall wreath is on the door. My little girls can't wait until Halloween, but we don't decorate for that until October 1st or so. That way I get my Fall decor for a month and they get their Halloween stuff for a month.
We take Halloween down on Nov. 1 and I put Fall/Thanksgiving back up. I basically just add in the turkey/pilgrim stuff.
Fall is my favorite season and I can hardly wait to decorate. My biggest reasons are usually the 1st of September coming along and college football starting back!
Have a great weekend.
I haven't been home for a couple of weeks, but I know when I get home fall will be in the air.
I love the changing of seasons--never had that in California. Fall is beautiful.
Yes, fall is definitely in the air here. Of course, we had an unusually cooler and wet summer, so I think it's coming sooner than usual. Love fall tho', as much as I will miss summer.
We have had such a mild summer it has been wonderful! But I am ready to pull out my fall decorations and am planning to do so this weekend. Oh--and I wore something fall-ish to church today.
Man- I would love to have a cabin on that lake!! That is breath taking.. We just got back from Kohl's Ranch up past Payson, AZ. It was SO pretty. There was a creek & tons of green grass & trees. Some of the leaves were a little yellow & brown.
But here in the Valley of 107' it is too freaking hot to think about Fall. And I will take my Halloween stuff out towards the end of the month probably.
Ok so I think it's a little to early for fall decor, but you can do as you wish
I always hate for summer to be over so I hold on as long as I can./
But I will be pulling out all my flowers today because they look sick and never did very well, so I guess thats a start>
