We're taking the motorhome this time and staying at an RV park that we've stayed at many times before. We're taking the RV so that Jake can go along with us. We boarded him last week while we were in Colorado and he did great but Courtney wants to see him and we're just used to taking him with us wherever we go.
This time last year we flew to AZ for Parents Weekend and boarded Jake at the kennel in the vet's office. We came home only to find out that he was having serious problems and needed surgery, or as was recommended, to be put to sleep. He had the spinal cord surgery but has been paralyzed in his hind legs since that time. The day I took him home from the doggy hospital I cried all the way home which was 3 hours away. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to express his bladder properly or care for him like he needed, and I was afraid that maybe we had done the wrong thing by him. I felt so overwhelmed. I really can't believe it's been one year already but we've all managed just fine and we absolutely did the right thing for Jake. He is one happy and loved little dog!
O.k....now about the dream. Do you ever have dreams that seem so vivid but when you wake up you can't remember them? We'll mine was vivid but I remember every detail.
I had been at work but came home, opened up the door, and found my husband on a sofa bed in the living room. I remember not thinking too much about it until the pretty, much younger, foreign speaking woman quickly jumped out of the same bed NAKED! Naked as a jay bird! I remember her beautiful figure! No cellulite on that husband stealer! I remember following my husband as he walked her to her car and knowing it was over. After 29 years it was over. Even in my dreams, adultery is a deal breaker!
I told Howard about the dream and the young, pretty foreign woman. He got a big smile on his face and said "I should be so lucky to have that kind of dream!" Yep, that's my man!

What a dream! I usually can't remember details of my dreams either.
Have fun at parents weekend!
That is some kind of dream, Linda! Have a lot of fun at Parents Weekend!
Crazy dream.
Are we getting together with Bren while you are here?
Oh my Linda! A beautiful, younger woman with no cellulite? That's a nightmare not a dream. ;) Your DH has a cute sense of humor! Hugs, Loretta
Hope you know Sat. is supposed to be 101' so bring your shorts!!! I can't tell you how happy I am for the lovely HEAT!!! (NOT)
I am so glad Jake is happy & doing good. It has gone by fast on this end.
And I have had dreams like that too - vivid & of Troy cheating on me... I wake up mad at him!
But Howards comment makes me think of my dad & he would say the exact samething.. Troy might - depending on if he thinks I'll smack him or not!!! :)
Have a great week in the "Valley of the Sun"!
I can not believe it has almost been a year that Jake got so sick...Time really does go fast.
Your dream...not real sure what to say about it...
Were you mad at him? Because when I have dreams about Tom behaving badly, I tend to be mad at him the next day, even though he's done nothing wrong...
Have fun this weekend!
Enjoy your weekend! Wow, that dream would have woken me too!!
My goodness -- what a horrid dream. I do love Howard's response. My dh has the same sense of humor. I so dislike like those kind of dreams. Where do they come from? Seriously, we all have them. Perhaps underlying fears.
Enjoy the sun and time with little Sis. I can't believe it has been a year since Jake's illness. I remember praying from him and you.
Blessings. XOXO
My husband says he is the only man alive that can be in trouble over a dream.......HA
Have a great time in AZ!
That was a bummer of a dream. Glad it's not true!
that sounds exactly like how matt would respond too!
Crazy dream! I hope you have fun this week!
too funny!
Oh my gosh, what a horrible dream. Did you turn over and slug him, or squeeze his cool-yans until he screamed for mercy???
The comment by your hubby was pretty funny though, spoken like a true man eh.
Have a wonderful visit with your family in WARM Arizona. My son used to live in Prescott a few years back and we enjoyed our visits there.
Glad Jake is doing so well and is so loved.
Hi Linda,
It's nice to meet you! Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a peek at my blog.
So, you're Colorado bound too? :0)
The Pookie will be working in the Denver area and we'll probably migrate back up to Evergreen. We just fell in love with that little town when we moved to Colorado the first time, about 10 years ago.
You'll have to keep in touch and let me know where you end up.
Oh my heck, your puppy is SOOOOOO SOOOOO cute!
What an adorable face!!!
I've just read a little of your blog and it looks like you have been blessed with a wonderful family too.
Life is good, eh?
Thanks again for taking the time to leave your comments and say hi.
I appreciate it!
