My parents arrived last Monday night and split their time between my sister Kim's house and mine. They left yesterday morning to return to Denver and I must admit I really miss having them around. Normally I would have been frazzled with pre-Christmas activities, work, shopping, cooking, company, etc., but with me being off of work I've just enjoyed it all...even with a hurt foot. We've played games, eaten out, cooked at home, gone to the movies, watched movies at home, entertained, and yes, shopped a little. All 5 adults here had laptops so we had lots of computer time too. Each of us sitting around the dining room table on our own laptop, reading things to each other. Gosh, I should have taken a picture of it! All of this has me wondering, even though I love my career and truly do enjoy my job, might it be time to step back and relax. Time to hang up my stethoscope so to speak. I guess we'll see what the new year brings.
I'll be busy busy today. We're going out of town tomorrow to spend New Year's with a group of our RV friends. I guess there will be about 30 of us so I've got alot of preparing to do. Lots of food planning and party planning going on.
Sooo, if I don't get another chance to talk to you this week, Happy New Year friends! Be safe and I truly hope 2010 is a blessed year for all of you!
See you next year!

Happy New Year to you too! Glad you had a good Christmas!
I agree, this has been a good Christmas! It makes me sad for it to all be over. I felt a little depressed when my kids left and all I had was an lonely Christmas tree to look at. Good memories were made though! Have a fun New Years celebration with your camping friends and may 2010 be a wonderful year for you and your family!
It's been a nice holiday season at our house too..Happy New Year Linda!
It's not just you. We had a very nice holiday this year. Both kids were home and even though they had to take several side trips to events out of town, they were reasonably good natured about it. Good food...good attitudes...wonderful gifts...loving family. It was GOOD!
Bah-humbugness (yes, my word) started creeping in at the beginning of the season, but once I got that under control we had a delightful holiday. I am really dreading Monday and being back to the regular scheduled chaos.
I would have loved to have seen a picture with all of you and your laptops!
So glad you had a great holiday season. It went by so fast.
We are getting a beautiful snow here and I'm happy to see it.
Our kids and their kids start arriving tomorrow and we'll celebrate Christmas with them then.
Have a great New Year with your RV friends and drive careful!
HUGS!
Oh, I love new visits - thank you! I'm an emptynester with a sweet 19 year old girl and the reason for the new house - my hubs decided after 10 years of dating and almost 7 years of marriage that he was no longer happy - 6 mos. ago. Just about crushed me - never thought I'd have to feel like that again, ever! But, I had to go on (que the violins!)
I'm enjoying my new house and trying to find out who this newly single 42 year old mom is again.
Happy New Year and enjoy your camping club trip! You have a lovely family, by the way!
I am glad you have a GREAT Christmas. I looked down at some of your previous posts (as I have not read anything for 2 weeks while in Utah) and enjoyed the photos of family. so dang cute.
I would have loved to see the photo (never taken) of all of you sitting around the table with your laptops. funny,.
Happy New Year to you too!!
Those lap tops either link us together or keep us apart! It's kind of like sitting around the living room with the Sunday paper and reading to each other. That would have made a great picture. I have to admit that my Christmas was wonderful too! Will be so relieved when your foot is healed. Are you really thinking of cutting back on working?
I hope you have a wondeful day with your RV friends!
Happy New Year, friend.
5 laptops at one table would've been fun to see!
Have fun.
Have a safe and wonderful New Years with your camping friends!
I am so glad it was a Wonderful Christmas for you. I really hate to say, but this Christmas was hard for me. I didn't have the Christmas spirit and had some family things happen that really made it harder. But my kids loved it & that's what counts. I love to see my kids so excited & happy. And your sweet friendship made it great. I got your gift Christmas eve & it brightened my day. Thank you so much!
Hope you had fun on your rv getaway!
