It's Friday

And I'm nosy...

So here's the question: How do you feel about going to the dentist?

I've gone to the same dentist for 20 years. I'm so comfortable with him and trust him so much that I don't ever mind going to my appointments. He is a talented artist and pianist as well so because of his artistic skills, I'm never afraid that he isn't going to do good work. As a matter of fact, I always feel that I'll look my best when I leave because of his perfectionist personality. I also love his staff. He's had the same dental assistant for the entire 20 years that I've been going to him. It was her first job out of dental assisting school and she's still with him all these years later. They make a great team.

Today he fixed my chipped tooth. I don't feel like a hillbilly anymore!

We came home late yesterday with Brandon in tow after his 8 day hospital stay. He's here to get some "motherly" love as he put it on Facebook. He wants some motherly love and attention, no problem! I'm all over it!

So glad Brandon is home with you getting taken care of. There is nothing like a Mom taking care of you when you don't feel well.

I really, really, really dislike going to the dentist. It has something to do with an extra nerve that I have and every time I go it hurts.

I dont mind my dental appts either because I have a wondeful dentist. He has been my dentist for at least 20 years, and one of his assistants, who is a friend, has been with him that entire time also! A few years back I woke up on a snowy, Sunday morning with an absessed tooth and he kindly met me at his office and fixed it for me! I wont ever forget his kindness. Enjoy this time with Brandon! You will both be feeling good as new soon, having each other!

Hooray for Brandon being home! I know you'll enjoy that time.
I hate going to the dentist. I've gone to the same one for years and it's nothing to do with him, but the sound of the drill and just having someone's hands in my mouth is not fun!

Like you, I have had the same dentist for 25 years. He is awesome, but I still hate going. I'd rather have a pap.

What was Brandon's diagnosis? He is lucky to have a great mom like you to care for him.

I went to the same dentist for years before I got married. He was gentle and very nice to look at, but after I moved to Bakersfield I was scared to death to change dentists. It took me seven years to finally get brave enough to go again. I paid dearly for that lesson, but now I have a dentist I dearly love and he's not bad to look at either. L.O.L. Afterall being at the dentist is an up close and personal experience.

Not a big fan, but did have to go a couple months ago and have a tooth pulled. I was so nervous because of a former bad experience. Very relieved when it went so smoothly.

Hi Linda,
I'm glad to hear Brandon is doing better. Now it's your turn to do what a mother does best, take care of her sweet children. I hope there is some good news about Macey as well, or at least no bad news. Have a great weekend. Hugs, Loretta

I LOVE to go to the dentist to have my teeth cleaned... now, if they have to do anything else.... not so much. I do love having clean teeth though!!

So glad to hear Brandon is home with you. Motherly love is a magical thing. =) My prayers are still with all.

I had a horrible dentist for too long. I now have the BEST! He does a great job.

Glad Brandon is home for some mommy time! HUGS to you and Macey's family.

Linda, I just stopped by to thank you for your kind words and prayers, and it looks like many prayers were and are needed here. So glad your son is doing better! As far as the dentist goes, I dont HATE going, but I dont LOVE it either, I tend to squeeze my hands very tightly the entire time I am in the chair, lol. Glad things are going better for you and your son, Sue

Thank you, Linda, for the opportunity to paint adorable little Jake, and I'm so glad you like the painting. I'll be posting on Jake and some other dog paintings I've done, soon.

I'm so glad Brandon is home with you & I am sure is getting lots of motherly love..
I am not a big dentist fan! I found my dentist through my parents. And he's nice & all. But I hate the stinking shots. I am always afraid I am going to suffocate... I go only when I have to..

I adore my dentist...have known him for 35 years...long before he even thought about being a dentist. I DESPISE; however, going to see him in his office. HATE IT!

Hi Linda, I just had to reply to this. I hate dentists! Nothing personal to the dentist himself but I hate going to a dental clinic. I get anxiety and the biggest headeache when I am there that I have to take a Tylenol before my appt. Once they gave me Nitrous oxide gas to relax me and then I passed out the threw up while I had all the dental equipment in my mouth. It scared the dentist and his assistants, lol, afraid I would choke, so they never give me gas anymore. I just read your blog entries above. I am so sorry, did you have an accident? I can't recall cause I have been so busy traveling, just got back last Sunday and have to leave tonight again. Take care and have a blessed holiday....Christine
