With Just A Little Bit Of Green Paint...

Do you remember my kitchen shelf fiasco a few weeks ago? Well, when it fell off the wall, the cute "flower bulbs in a dish" thrifty find I had only picked up a few days earlier broke too. Thankfully, as you can see, only one side was damaged in the fall...

Since I've started blogging, I keep saying that spray paint has become my new BFF so I laughed out loud when my husband suggested I spray paint over the damage. Funny thing is I had been thinking the same thing. Not necessarily spray paint, but why not paint the styrofoam green!?!

I headed over to Michael's and picked myself up a tube of $1.39 green paint, got out my little paint brush, and went to work...

I know it's not perfect but I liked my thrifty find and didn't want to throw it away. I'm so glad it was salvageable...with the help of a just little bit of green paint that is!

Great idea, Linda. It looks really good. I remember when the shelf fell with all the dishes, it was so sad!! So at least you have salvaged the plant dish!!

Have a great weekend!

I remember that tragedy! It's a good match and if you didn't know, you would never notice.

It isn't noticeable at all. I never would have known. Thank goodness for that magical can of paint!

Remember it doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful.

Just found your blog and am reading through a lot of the posts. I have that heart platter (like yours on the shelf) but it was a gift. I have wanted to find another one like it for a long time, and have never been able to find it. Do you know where YOURS came from?
