He went to the grocery store and on the way out, he stopped to buy a couple boxes of Girl Scout cookies. I had just mentioned Saturday night that we hadn't bought any cookies this year and lo and behold, he came home with 2 boxes of Thin Mints.
As he was buying the cookies, the little girl told him "since this box is bent, and since we only have 2 boxes left, I'll sell you the bent box of cookies for $3 instead of $4." In the meantime, the mother is saying "hey, what are you doing!? Now we've got to pay the difference ourselves!" Too funny!
Delicious! One quick question though, when did they start putting the cookies in foil wrappers?

I bought 5 boxes...2 are Thin Mints and they are in cellophane sleeves. They are going too slowly...lol

I always gotta have my Thin Mint fix this time of year!
Thin Mints and Samoas are the ones for me!
I bought Tag Alongs and Samoas for my girls Easter baskets...those are their favorites. So far I have not had a single gs cookie this year. I love the Thin Mints right out of the freezer with a glass of milk.
No GS cookies in my house this year...lol..really haven't seen anyone selling them.
This little girl is just too funny. Bet her Mom took it out of her allowance.

I think they've been in the foil for a couple years now. I didn't order any specifically from anyone, but I picked up a box the other day from a co-worker's daughter. Gone in an instant! Now she has more to sell, so it looks like 2 more boxes are coming my way! Oh...don't you guys have people selling them on the corner at intersections? I've noticed that a lot lately around here.
Thank you for making me very hungry! Ha Ha
I have not bought any girl scout cookies this year either and I LOVE Thin Mints and the other kind with coconut - YUM!!
Don't know anything about the foil?
I love Thin Mints right out of the freezer too. Yum. My new fave is tagalongs. I think I could eat the entire box by myself.
I love girl scout cookies. Thin mints are mu favorite. Well, so are the coconut ones and oh, the tagaongs......ya, they're good.
Kirk always buys a couple boxes.
I really am not that big of a fan of them.
and I swear this year they are 1/2 the size.
Weve plowed through our boxes and I am adamantly refusing to buy more!
Ours were in the cellophane sleeves. What's with the tin foil? THose belong on Ding Dong's only! :)
It sounds like that little girl scout would do well in customer service!
Love Di ♥
ok, now I'm confused. This was Grace's first year in Brownies so we did the cookie sales. Each box was only $3.25. Were the prices higher there?
HI!!!
Mine were NOT in Foil, but cellophane, who knew??? Maybe in your area only!!!! I think that's funny , a bargain on girl scout cookies!!!!
I love those,I could eat about 20 of them!!!!

Thin mints are my FAV! And I did a trip for the first time last summer to Vegas. Love my purses but yes, I have found MANY name brand items of clothing at the Goodwill - Liz Claiborne, Lands End, Talbot, Ralph Lauren, Gap and more! Jackets, skirts, blouses, sweaters and a few slacks. I even found a beaded evening gown for less than $8!
cellophane sleeves on the lane... however, i think girl scout cookies have been contracted out to other manufacturers because samoas are still samoas on our side of the bride but are called chocolate/caramel goodies (or something like that) across the bridge in indiana.
enjoy:b
much love,

I am always distressed by how much smaller the stacks of Thin Mints get each year. I could swear there were more in the box last year. I had one box with the inner foil wrapper and one with the traditional cellophane wrap--what's up with that?
And remember yesterday's weather here in the lovely state of CO--snow day and all? By 11 a.m. the sun was out and melting the snow. The streets are dry and clear and all is well. You can comfort and encourage your husband by telling him what we Colorado folk like to say, "If you don't like the weather here just wait a few minutes and it will change!"
Oh that is too funny! Yes, I too have noticed that the amount of cookies in the boxes is less each year it seems! Our daughter sold 450 boxes this year, whew! In Colorado though, they are only $3.25 a box! Another perk if you are still considering a move! :-)
