That was what I heard my husband say to our dog Jake as he was leaving the house this morning. This coming from the same man that said the following things only a short time ago:
"I don't want a dog, but I know how much you do...but remember, I don't want a dog!"
"If you get a dog, you're going to have to clean up the pee/pooh because remember, I don't want a dog!"
"I'm not going to do any of the training of a dog because remember, I don't want a dog!"
"Even though we've had Jake for a few months now, if you found a good home I'd say go ahead and give Jake to them because remember, I didn't want a dog!"
"Don't say I'm his "Daddy" because I'm not...it's ridiculous to hear you say that. Remember, I didn't want a dog!"
and the list goes on and on and on...
Well after 2 years now, hubby is singing a different tune. We ALL love Jake and just couldn't imagine a day without him...especially Daddy!

My husband is the same way about our cat. He always said he disliked cats, but things have changed. And guess whose lap the cat sits on most? Bob's!
Jake is so cute!!!! I love my Tucker too!
Jake is sooo cute!! My husband is the same way too!! How is Jake doing now?
Cute story about hubby and Jake. We have had our dog for a little over two years, too and love her to death. We have always had cats and then my daughter got a yorkie and we babysat her for a week while they were on vacation and I had to have one, too. We believe ours is a silkie though. Doesn't matter we love her anyway.
Awwww...I absolutely love Jake...he's so adorable! Glad he's Daddy's boy!
Hugz,
Michele
Isn't that the truth. My hubby didn't want our red doxie, we already had a Newfoundland and a Border Collie, but because she was a present from my mom he couldn't say "no." Then when daughter wanted to find a home for their black doxie (she was only 10 mths.old) he was the first one who wanted to drive from PA to TN to pick her up. Funny how they get just as attached as we do. Deep down...they are softies.
I love Jake.
That's so cute! Nothing like a mushy "tough guy".
Have fun at work today....(we're sorta quiet right now....but I really didn't just now say the "Q" word)
That's funny that you did this repost about Jake. I was doing errands yesterday and saw a lady walking her dog. The little thing was using the wheels like you got for Jake. Made me think of you and him.
God bless!
First off - funny funny funny men! Splenda is the same way about my lil Jordan....
And second. HOLY FRICKIN COW woman! Got your package! LOVE IT! Seriously made me cry. Thank you so very much!
It was my thankful thursday today, and I am very thankful for you and your friendship!!
xoxoxox
Jake is so precious! My husband is the same way about Trixie...he never had a dog for very long at a time. They always got in the highway or ran off. Now he covers Trixie up at night and worries about her if she is out of sight for very long.....He can't believe how attached he is to her, it scares him!
They just become part of the family, don't they. Jake is so cute!
Too funny! I went through this with my husband too. We always had Baxter who was a big border collie/lab mix - 130 pounds of black fluff. Don't get me wrong we loved him but he was huge...a man's dog. ha ha
When Baxter died about a year later my friends dog was having puppies and we all wanted a puppy. Only problem these are small dogs Llasa Apsa/Shit-zu mix (yeah we like mutts) but oh so cute.
He:
-did not want a little dog
-did not want a dog in the house
-wanted another monster dog (no)
Long story short - Yeah he loves the dog. It is funny!
You gotta love men!
Men...they are softies :) and who doesn't love Jake !!!
I found a round table like you just found on the CURB!!! I think those are the best little tables and yours looks great with the topper you added. Plus, you can store "junk, oops, I mean treasures under the skirt!
Have a great weekend, Linda!
Warmly,
Deb :)
