My Friend Carol

It is with a heavy heart that I have to tell you our beautiful friend Carol passed away early this morning. Her weak body wasn't able to fight off the infection and she went into cardiac arrest in the wee hours of the morning. This time they weren't able to bring her back.

The details are still sketchy but we do know that Paul, Carol's husband and one of the dearest people on earth, is in route right now from Las Vegas to their home in Long Beach. I'm so worried about Paul and her sons, please continue to keep them in your prayers. Carol was outgoing, vibrant, and the rock that held her family together. This is a devastating loss for so many.

I knew without a doubt that if I asked for prayer, that you, my wonderful blogging friends would be fervently praying on Carol's behalf, and I thank you! Thank you to each and everyone of you that took the time to leave a message saying you were keeping Paul and Carol in your thoughts and prayers. Your comments mean so much! Although our prayers weren't answered as we wanted them to be answered, I truly feel that we'll have all of the answers to all of our questions when we get to heaven, and that's where I'll see my beautiful friend Carol again someday!

As information becomes available, I'll let you know more about what caused all of this. We're all just shocked and devastated.

Linda,
My heart goes out to you tonight, I am truly so sorry. That is so awful and from a senseless spider or something, yes, I am sure they will perform tests to determine cause of death.
her family must be devastated, she was far to young to pass away, that is my age.
I am just shocked with grief for you and them.
Please know I will keep them in my thoughts and Prayers and hopefully God will fill your heart and theirs with Great wonderful memories and yes, you will be reunited in Heaven one day.
God Bless you sweetie,
jamie

Linda, news of Carol's passing is really almost unimaginable in this day and age. It seems impossible that a vibrant 50 year old could not be treated successfully by modern medicine... yet, stories like this serve to remind us that so much is out of our hands. I'm with you in that our understanding will come... just not today. I am so sorry for your loss. I will pray for Carol's family. Blessings to you.

Linda,

I can't even begin to tell you how sorry I am to hear about Carol, this certainly was a shock to read. This really touched my heart so much and all I want to do is give you a huge hug.

What Noni said is so true and it hard to imagine that something couldn't have been done to help her. It just serves to remind us that we are all gifts from God and put here for just a short time and he calls us home when he needs us. God needed this angel.

Thinking of you and praying for her family.

Oh my goodness Linda - I am so shocked. I am so sorry about your friend. She was so young.

You'll have to give us details on what bit her - that is just crazy and makes me a little nervous.

God Bless her family, her husband - this must be so devastating.

Linda, I am so sorry to hear this. I prayed and thought of Carol often yesterday, and I too wish the healing would have come.
I agree that God's plans aren't easy to understand but all will be understood in time.
Continued prayers for Paul and her family, and you her dear friend. Take care Linda.

Linda, I am so sorry. I cant imagine having not only 1 but 2 friends dying so suddenly. I did have a dear friend die, a wonderful woman, mother of 4 little ones, of a rare cancer. But she suffered for so long it definitely wasn't sudden. That has been about 14 years ago, and I still think of her often! I am anxious to hear more of what happened to her, you take care! Sue

I am so sorry that this has happened. I know it is devastating for her family. I will continue to pray for them and you too. Everyday we wake up is a gift.

Someone told me when my mother died that when you look at the dates on a grave marker of anyone, it isn't the year they were born or the year they died that we should see and concentrate on. It is the dash in the middle. That dash in the middle represents a life time, no matter how short or long and there is a story there.

Heres to living each day fully and making that one heck of a dash!!!
