And I'm nosy...
So here's the question: Do you wash your hair every day?
I wash and condition my hair every morning while in the shower. It's impossible to go a day without blow drying and styling your hair when you have natural curly hair and when your hair is on the short side like mine.
My hair is pretty much going in all different directions when I wake up in the morning, so trust me, I need to wash and style it daily.
My hairdresser just told me I should sleep on a satin pillowcase at night. She said my hair won't be so fly away in the morning. She also said I shouldn't be washing my hair each day. I should be washing it every other day. Washing it every day dries it out and takes out the color.
I guess I'm doing it all wrong, but after all these years, I'm.not.changing!

Sounds like you and I have similar hair types. I wash mine every other day. On the day I don't wash it....I generally have to use a curling iron or flat iron to style it though.
It looks like the last comment was written by me!! I wash my hair every other day because it is curly and it takes so much time to dry and straighten it. When I leave it curly, it's easier, but it gets windblown and BIG!!
I LOVE your Friday questions. What a nice change in reading and commenting! :-)

I wash mine every day too. My hair is straight, and sticking out in all directions when I get up. I can't do anything with it unless I wash it!
Mostly, every day... occasionally, every other day. =)
Every other day unless it needs to look really good for a wedding or party or something. Change is hard. Happy weekend.
Good morning Linda,
Thanks so much for your sweet comments on my little blog.
I was looking at the pictures of your party in the post below. Looks like a lot of work to me, but it sure looks like a fun time...everything looks so good.
My hair is washed every other day. If I wash it every day it gets too dry...
I wish I could find a satin pillowcase!
No, I don't wash my hair everyday, I'm too lazy. I pull it in a ponytail the second day. I get up early enough on the days I work I want that extra 10 minutes.
I don't worry about the washed out color, I just color every three or four weeks anyway. I used to be a hairdresser so I do it myself. I have so much gray that my roots are awful. So I color a lot.
I wash mine EVERY day. I don't always 'do" it. Lately, a ponytail suffices, but I can't stand the feeling of unwashed hair. And since I work out every single say (except Sunday), it would just plain be gross!
Everyday during the week (with an occasional no wash visor day), but sometimes on Saturday mornings (if I think we are going to be swimming) I don't.
I used to have to wash my hair everyday when I was young as it was so oily! But since menopause it is never oily! If it sticks out a bit when I wake up I just wet it a bit and I'm good to go. I wash it every other day! Love Di ♥
I wash and condition my hair every single day...it would drive me crazy if I didn't!
Nope. I used to. I used to have to, but now that I'm older it's not as oily and sometimes my hair actually styles better on the second day. Plus some days I just really don't feel like it.
I straighten my curly hair, and now I wash it every 2 or 3 days. My hairdresser says it's never been in better shape. I was an every day girl for years, wash, condition, blow dry, and curling iron to define. eek gads it drove me batty. I can let it dry naturally and it's mostly ringlets, I do that for hot humid softball watching days.
Daily routine;
wash, condition, rinse, blow dry, go!
My hair is dry as straw and no amount of conditioner helps. I wash ever 3-4 days. I can get it styled at beauty shop on Thurs and it doesn't move till Sunday (sleeping on my tummy and satin pillow helps) then it's washed and conditioned again.
It would be nice to be able to wash everyday. Curling iron and blowers everyday would (did) destroy my hair.

I wash my hair every other day, usually. The day I don't wash it it's usually up in a pony tail.
However, when I worked, I washed it every day.

Hi Linda: To answer your question, I used to wash my hair every day (when we lived in hot and humid Charleston I washed it sometimes twice a day); however, it just got to the point that it wasn't healthy. So, now, I wash it every three days. It was hard to get to this point but, now that I am, I see the benefit of healthier hair.
I'm glad you stopped by my blog. Please come back often.
Best,
Bonnie
Did your hairdresser also tell you that sleeping on a satin pillow case will keep you face smooth and without lines? This was what a beautician friend told me when out of the blue, I got a line on my face. LOL
I shampoo every 2 or 3 days, I was told too frequent shampooing and blow drying will dry out the hair.
I used to wash every single day without fail, but now in my 50s, it's every 2-3 days or it's much too dry and flyaway. On some of the "in between" days, I may wet it down a bit and touch up with the blow dryer.
I wish i could go more than 1 day. mine is SO oily. my mom goes 3-5 days and likes days 3/4 the best.
