You all know that I am a nurse and work in a dialysis unit. Well, let me tell you, nurses see and hear it all! There is never a dull moment, NEVER!
We have a patient that I admitted a short time ago and during the admission process, his wife said she knew me from when I worked at the hospital 14 years ago. As soon as she said that, I remembered her immediately. We both worked on the night shift.
So yesterday she says she has some pictures on her phone that she wants to show me from when the patient was in UCLA hospital a while back. He had a great view from his hospital room and she showed me 3 or 4 pictures of the view and of emergency helicopters flying in and out. Good pictures really.
As she flips to about the 5th picture, there is it, OH.MY.GOSH! I had to walk away for a minute. The picture of a naked man's you know what, ready for you know what if you know what I mean!! She was horrified and sooo embarrassed, and kept saying so. She said it was a picture of her step-son who had used her phone. Hey, if I had a step-son who had used my phone and took a picture of himself like that, you bet it wouldn't still be on my phone! Step-son my eye!
I told her that her secret (now our secret!) was good with me. You have no idea how bad I wanted to pass that little bit of information around at break time yesterday, but I didn't.
Yep, her secret is good with me...well, except in blogland that is!

that is too funny...who would keep something like that...remind me never to show pictures off my phone...
OMG!!!!how funny...Pat H
lol.. step son huh.. so she knew who put it on there and that it was on there and it didnt occur to her to hit delete.. gosh, the stuff folks expect other folks to believe.. I agree, she'll be avoiding you from embarrassment and rightfully so.
I bet sitting and listening to the tales nurses could tell could go on for a month , without a story being repeated... write a book- I'll buy it:)
Sonny
LOL!!! Surprise!! Surprise!! Why oh why would she keep that on her phone? I can see why you'd have to tell somebody! I hope you can get the picture off your mind soon! :)

LOL....WOW!!! Now that is a shocker....LOL
Linda THIS post is my welcome back to blogland and it is a whopper - Holy cow - so funny - who takes pictures like that!!! That woman must be mortified!!
Yours is seriously the first blog that came up in my reader this first time I have been to blogland in almost two weeks - What a visual - Ha ha I'll be laughing all night!
Hmmmm... so did she not know it was on there???? Twenty-five years of nursing will make you a tad cynical, too! LOL! People are interesting creatures.
Oh my gosh Linda! You handled that so well! I have no idea what I would have done or said. I can't come up with a thing!! Love Di ♥
My eyes! My eyes! Turn away from the phone! (I just don't quite get why someone would expect you to believe that "innocent" shot was just accidentally on her phone.) Perv!
I'm blushing just reading it!!! Oh My ~ how do you respond to that. I bet you both just looked at each other for a beat or two. I can't believe she thought telling you it was her son-in-law made it better!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today ~ I really appreciate it and I love yours!! I'll be back!
Stepson, my @#$, lol. Good one, and you're a better woman than I for keeping it secret at work, lol! Thanks for sharing! Sue
Oh my heck is RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ya........her secretha. is safe with me too!!!! Ha ha
I agree with Donna--like the woman thought you wouldn't think it was as weird if the photo was of her step-son?! What WAS SHE THINKING?! I am in fits of horrified laughter, if there is such a thing.
OMGoodness - That is a hoot:)
Thanks for stopping by my blog and encouraging me regarding my husbands illness. He is finally home. Kidney is ok - Now we are dealing with heart disease - will it never end?
Blessings
Ha-I don't really get how telling you it was her son-in-law made it any better. So glad you have your blog : )
It scares me that she KNEW it was her step-son...Hmmmm...
Oh my gosh! I'm trying to imagine how I would have reacted. Ha!
I'm great at keeping secrets to anyone who tells me to, but I'm pretty sure I would have had to share this one with someone at work!
I just think it's kinda sick that she said it was her step-son's. : /
Wow.....life is certainly interesting, huh? :)
Uhhhhhhhh... not even sure what to say here Linda. I kinda feel bad for her but that sure is funny and very weird! You handled that situation a lot better than I would have. Hugs
Unbelievable!
Step son? Sure. Did she delete it right then and there?
Hugs,
Kat
Can I just say...
um yea...
Oh my crap! That is hysterical!!!
I don't know how you kept it together. I prolly would made some stupid joke about wanting to meet her stepson.....
OMG!! I don't care who it was,,,,I wouldn't want it on my phone!
Linda, you are a better person than I, would have had to leave the room and would have been rolling down the hall waiting to tell someone I am sure! People are interesting, that's for sure!
Barb
I want to leave a comment, but I do not know what to say. I am speechless for once. (But I am smiling!)
Step-son...Right... I'll bet she was super embarrassed. Can you imagine ever having anything like that on your phone? Blah!
