It's Friday

And I'm nosy...

So here's the question: Do you make your own spaghetti sauce or do you use sauce from a jar?

I don't cook much anymore since it's only hubby and I home (plus I'm on Jenny Craig), but when I do cook spaghetti I make my sauce from scratch. It's always been one of our favorite meals around here.

I hope you all have an enjoyable Labor Day weekend. I really need to "labor" this weekend and get some cleaning done. A friend told me that if you can write "I love you" in the dust in your house that you are enjoying life. I must be enjoying life because I could quite possibly write a short story!

Hi Linda!
I love, love making my sauce from scratch. However living in the small cottage, cooking is a challenge in my small kitchen with the tiny sink for clean up.
However, if I'm ever blessed to live in a home again, I will treasure cooking and baking.

Have a terrific weekend.

Yep, I make my own...I really can not stand the taste of bottled sauce...
I canned my own a couple of years ago and if I get enough tomatoes this year in the garden I will do it again.

HI!!!
I LOVE spagetti, I use whole wheat pasta now and I do use sauce from a jar, but I add so many things to it that it is like my own!!!
haha
sometimes, ground beef, other times ground sausage, I add peppers sometimes, mushrooms and lots of spices!!
So I feel like it is mine!!!!
I do love it too!!
hugs,
jamie

Oh my gosh yes I make my own. I can't imagine eating it from a jar!!! It's why I never eat Italian food out! You never know what you're getting.

I always make my sauce from scratch. My family would kill me if I didn't! I understand the dust, I've been sick for a few weeks and can see the dust everywhere!

I use it from jar, but doctor it up. I really should make my own, but whenever I make it, it seems to be one of the days with little time!

I make it from scratch, it takes a few hours, but cooking is so artistic that I welcome the time in the kitchen wearing a lovely apron and listening to wonderful music :)

I hate, hate, hate dusting, not sure why, but I do! I could write an epic novel in mine...

Have a great weekend, we are off to the Farmers Market and then cleaning the garden space out for next season.
Hugs to you Linda!

Usually from scratch, but I keep a jar around because my 8 year old is a pasta lover and is always wanting a quick bowl of spaghetti.

IF I were to cook something it sure wouldn't be from scratch - I wouldn;t even know how to begin. But I've watched Splenda bust open a jar and then add stuff to it.

Hi Linda,
Just started making it from scratch when my sister did it and I realized how easy it was. Healthier too.
Happy Labor/Dusting Day!

I have a super easy, from-scratch recipe that makes a lot, so I can feed my family with half and freeze the other half in a Ziplock. I also have a super easy recipe for homemade meatballs to go with it! YUM.
