A Terrible Loss

Such a fine example of grace, dignity, and courage. Elizabeth, I hope you had a joyous reunion with your precious son Wade. May you rest in peace.

HI,
I cried when I read the notice that she only had weeks to live and then to here she died one day later. She is a Great example of how the woman that is cheated on should act, did she scream and yell in private--OH I SURE HOPE SO, but in public--Very classy!!!
God Bless her and May she rest in Peace,
hugs,
jamie

I too, shed a tear.
This lady is very classy. Her children will call her "Blessed".

I feel sorry that her young children don't get to keep her near to see them grow, but I'm sure she's more at peace and happy to be reunited with those who went before her. Nice tribute.

Hi Linda,
Yes I got teary eyed when I heard the news. I was very sad.
And to have the 10 and 13 year old kids at home too. Poor babies.

God bless you!

I got so choked up when I heard the news...the world has lost such a wonderful woman. She is definitely in a much better place.

I feel so awful for her kids. First their dad being the D-bag that he is, and now losing their mother.

I thought she was pretty remarkable as well. And I like to think of that reunion with her and her son.
At MY son's funeral, his 9 year old little boy kept referring to it as the reunion...he'd say "are all these people here for the reunion"

I too will look forward to being with him again someday.

Hi Linda!!! I am TRYING to do some catching up... seems all I do these days is catch up!! My daughter's apartment is just down the street from Elizabeth's store in Chapel Hill. I walk by it when I go and visit and always wonder(ed) if she was there. Her funeral was held here in Raleigh in a church I have visited before and she is buried just down the street from where my husbands office is. It was such a bitter windy cold day the day she was buried and I thought about her young children often that day as I was running around Christmas shopping. After her son was buried, she used to take her "soccer mom"chair to his grave site and read his favorite childhood books and the Bible and just spend afternoons there sitting. I am glad that she was able to be buried beside him.

I remember seeing her on a talk show a few months back and I could not get off my mind what an amazing lady she seemed.
As I learned more about her after the interview I was heart broke that she was stopping her "treatment".
I am grateful that she was able to go so quickly.
