And I'm nosy...
So here's the question: Do you have a particular TV show that you like to watch regularly? American Idol, The Office, Glee, or those CSI type shows?
Would you believe I've never watched American Idol, The Office, or Glee. Well, that's sort of a lie. I watched Glee for the first time ever after the Superbowl game this year and then I watched American Idol for the first time this week.
I've been hanging out at our friend Lynn's restaurant more lately and they have 2 big screen TVs there. Let me just tell you, her customer's like American Idol!
Maybe I'll start watching it now that Simon is gone. I could never watch it because I can't watch people be mean to other people. Watching Simon would have been pure torture for me.
One of my favorite TV shows of all time was Everybody Loves Raymond! Now that was entertainment!

I'll be checking this out for entertainment today. It's always fun making new blogging buddies (and especially when they're old(er) like me!)

Did you notice the time that this post was written! Insomnia...talk about torture!

The only new show I watch without fail is The Big Bang Theory. The rest of any television time is spent watching reruns of (funny you should mention it) Everybody Loves Raymond, The Cosby Show and old movies on the Turner Classic Movie channel.
i love survivor....i have NEVER missed an episode in all the 20+ seasons!
we also like big bang theory and the original CSI...
i will watch american idol here and there now, when it gets down to the smaller # of people...
matt is really the tv person, he has shows he watches every night...
i could take the tv or leave it, sometimes i just wish i could cut off the cable all together! except for when survivor is on!;-)
The only show I watch out of the ones you mentioned is American Idol. It amazes me to see such talent. I don't like the trying out phase but I do enjoy the singing competition. I'm so glad you found me via Viola. She's such a sweetheart. Appreciate you leaving me the kind comments. That must have been awesome to watch your children play at recess. I get to do the same thing sometimes b/c I substitute teach. With the oldest two, I was able to watch them every day b/c I taught full time. It was really the best part of working. I'm your newest follower and would be delighted to have you follow me back.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Tammy
I have a good friend who sets her life's schedule around American Idol. For the life of me, I can't figure that out. But...to each his own, I guess.
Like your blog. I came over from.. . . can't remember. Maybe Julie.
Linda, Like you I have never watched those shows you mentioned. We like NCIS, the original and Los Angeles, but I also like Off the Map as far as a new one.
I must admit to being a TV junky. I love my shows! I think Survivor is one of my all time favorites...have not missed a season yet! I also like Top Chef and Project Runway. My favorite dramas right now are Brothers & Sisters and Parenthood. Loving your blog, I'm an 'older' blogger also and it's nice to meet another great Linda!
The only time I have the TV on is Tuesday nights at 7:00. I love NCIS.
Then I'm done for a week.
Yes, I'm a "Gleek"...I love that show! Of course, it's really changed since it all began. Seems like it's becoming too racy and raunchy lately and has a lot of "heavy" themes. I wish it were just about the music and dancing like it was before. I do watch "American Idol", but my favorite part is the auditions. I, also, love to watch "Amazing Race" on Sunday nights.
I have never watched any of those shows either which has always made me feel a little odd! I don't really have any shows I follow now. Not that I am opposed to TV but rather there just doesn't seem to be much to my liking.
Awesome snail dish! Glad you are keeping it :)
Shows I watch...NCIS, The Middle, Grey's and now I forgot the others...yikes..bad memory. We don't have cable, so it's only the local TV shows. Of couse I multi-task while watching TV...LOL!!
Have a great weekend.
warmly,
deb
I love "The Good Wife" I'm hooked!
Well, Simon was a softy underneath. And I think the show is missing some tough love. Some of the contestants are delusional and it almost seems unkind to let them carry on thinking they have a chance at becoming a recording artist when they truly do not.
We watch Biggest Loser, Idol, Glee and The Bachelor...those are the shows we DVR. I'd never watched Biggest Loser until this season but I really like it.
Have a nice weekend!
This is going to sound like I watch a lot of TV, but usually we DVR them and watch them for date night in, or I'll put something on while cleaning or working on stuff.
In no particular order:
House
NCIS
The Office
Castle
Better With You
Desperate Housewives
Real Housewives of OC, DC, & BH
Million Dollar Listing
White Collar
Burn Notice
Chuck
The Middle
Totally with you on the insomnia thing!
The only thing I will make sure I catch all the episodes whether it's real time or DVR is The Office. I freakin LOVE that shows!
I love Grey's Anatomy...I'm a O.R. nurse, maybe that's why I find it all so fascinating...

I don't really have time for television so I do not have any shows that I watch anymore. The last one that I loved and almost watched every week was Monk but it is now off the air.
We have Netflix now (the one you get through the tv) so if I need to relax or feel like watching something I find a good movie (then I usually fall asleep from exhaustion - hee hee).
My favorite right now is Castle and THe good wife - I love American Pickers too!
I love American Idol ~ been watching it for years! I also watch Survivor, crazy as it might seem.
Enjoy your weekend, Linda!
Hugs,
Donna

If it wasn't for DVR I don't think I would watch any because I only have time here or there to watch a show and it is always an odd time. never at 8:00 on Tuesday nights!
I really do not watch the same things much anymore.
I can't remember the last time I watched American Idol. I think I only watched Glee...yawn... and the Office off and on.
I do like Criminal Minds and still like the cooking channel...but again I hardly watch it anymore.
The original NCIS (Abby is a hoot); Bones, love Bones; and PBS's Masterpiece Theater.
If it wasn't for my DVR I wouldn't ever watch TV. One of my favorites is Modern Family.
