And I'm nosy...
So here's the question: Have you ever DRIVEN a motorhome of any type?
This weekend is our monthly camping trip (aka camping club weekend), but I won't be doing any of the driving. Never do, hopefully never will. Driving the RV is hubby's job and he wants to keep it that way. I really don't think he trusts me!
Our first motorhome was a smaller Class C motorhome and I could drive that just fine. A Class A motorhome is what we have now and it's like driving a bus.
No thank you ma'am!
Jake and I are happy to sit in the passenger seat and watch the world pass us by!
Hubby did kinda force me to drive our Class A motorhome once, about 3 years ago. He wanted me to get the feel for it just in case there was an emergency and I needed to drive it. I don't think he likes me playing with his toys...he hasn't made me drive it since!

I wish we were going camping this weekend....that sounds like so much fun. I've never driven a motor home.
Have a great time!
We have the smaller travel trailer about 27' but I have never ever driven it, not even slightly, so if there was an emergency that would be my first attempt. Look out!
I have never driven a motor home but I think I would like that way of traveling.
Nope! We rented an RV to go to Florida back in 2003 and Ray decided he wanted to drive back without stopping.....21 hours straight! He drank gallons of coffee, took caffeine pills (no doze) and by the time we made it to the NJ Turnpike he was begging me to take the wheel because he was so tired! I had never driven the thing and the I wasn't going to learn how on the turnpike!hehe
I desperatley WANT the chance to drive a big ol motorhome! That was our plan for retirement, and it is being postponed, so I will have to wait and just enjoy your adventures
No...I'd be scared to death, Linda! I'd probably run over everything in sight!
I would be totally freaked out to drive a motorhome. We have a BIG horse trailor, and hubby keeps telling me I need to learn how to haul it incase of an "emergency".....I hope my horses never have an emergency when Barry is not around.
I've never driven anything near that big. I'd probably run into everything!
Hi Linda!
I hope you guys have a great weekend.
As far as ever driving a motorhome. A few years ago we rented a 36 ft. motorhome and traveled through North and South Dakota for a family reunion (we're both originally from North Dakota). Steve did the driving, but at one point thought maybe I should try. I was VERY leary, but thought I'd give it a whirl. Once I pulled onto the highway I panicked and realized it was a HUGE mistake. I barely drove a mile and a half and had to pull over. I will not do that ever again! But if it was a smaller one, I'd give it a whirl I think. This one was just way too big.
PS--Teddy loved tolay right by the front window area on the ledge, right in front of the front seat where I sat. I bet little Jake will enjoy the nice ride :)
We borrowed a motorhome once and I wanted to drive it just to see what it was like. I was scared to death the whole time and couldn't wait to turn over the keys.
Never have and never will! I'm dangerous enough on the road with my little Honda CRV. I can't imagine driving a big motorhome! Hope you had a great weekend!
