Well, our loft TV bit the dust a few months back, but in away it was a good thing. We're not ones to go out and buy the latest trends in ANYTHING, so having our TV konk out forced us to get a new one and to catch up with the latest technology. We ended up getting a nice flat screen that can be mounted on the wall or placed on a stand or table. It's awesome, but big! We may end up moving it downstairs and mounting it on the wall at some point but for now it's in the loft. We only had one problem, we didn't have a stand. We had it sitting on our coffee table for the longest time. Like I mentioned, we're not quick about anything. It takes us forever to decide on things.
I don't know if the stars aligned on that day or what, but as luck would have it, I came across a TV display table (is that what you call these things?) while out of town on our RV trip last month. We hauled it up the steps into the motorhome and brought it on home. It holds the TV perfectly, it's just the right length, and I really like the black distressed finish...
While setting everything up, I look my time and carefully wrapped all of the cords up in the back of the TV, using Velcro tape to organize and get all of the cords up off of the floor. Having a jumbled up mess behind a TV drives my organized self crazy.
Yes, it took extra time to be a little more organized but I think it was worth it. I really feel that if you're taking the time to do something, no matter what it is, take the time to do it right and do it to the best of your ability. Believe me, I know I drove my kids nuts with saying this when they were growing up, and I've been teased many a time, but that's just me, and I think in the long run it's always worthwhile.

I love it - it's just perfect!
We just got a new TV too and I am in need of a new WHITE tv stand. I am using the old TV stand but it doesn't go very well. Enjoy your new TV!
That cabinet is beautiful! I bet you will spend a lot more time in the loft now!
XO,
Jane
I just love the antiquey look of the TV stand. How classy! And how organized you are. I like to think I'm tidy, but I also have no patience to wrap cords, etc. Sigh! Enjoy all...
gorgeous! Thanks for sharing this at my party!
Linda you found the perfect piece for the tv. I love the distressed finish too! Oh my all those wires are so nice and neat! You would be shocked at what's behind my tv. LOL
Love the TV set-up really sweet. That table is nice, was it an antique find? My husband is finicky about the cables that you don't see in the back too!
I love the table! Our big screen tv in the family room is on the stand that came with it, and while nice, just isn't homey looking.
The one in my bedroom, Splenda mounted on the wall and I LOVE THAT!
I really love your TV cabinet, Linda...and, yes, that is one BIG TV!
HI!!
AGAIN we are sooo alike!!
My kids were raised with this saying
It takes more time to do it over then to do it right the first time!!
For example, a school project, making your bed, mine learned at a very early age, how to make a bed like a PRO!!!
Ok, do they make their beds as adults???
hmmm.....Not everyday!!!I have caught a few unmade beds!!Mine is MADE everyday sick or well, and today I am sick with a made bed, changing the sheets everyday, I have Influenza!!For the first time!!!
now it's time to go nap.....on the couch with a blanket!!
LOL
hugs 2 U,
jamie
Love that tv stand!!
and I do that with cords too!!!
Love your new TV stand.
I say the same thing to my kids...If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right the first time. I hope it sinks in.
I LOVE- LOVE -LOVE your tv stand. I was looking for something like that & could never find what I wanted & went for something that doesn't hold any dvd's and I don't really like it. But oh well! You have such amazing taste...
Hi Linda,
I love how everything works out at the right time! The stand is perfect.
Have a great weekend!
Warmly,
deb
p.s. I went to a Hobby Lobby in FL!! What a fun store!
Love the organized wires. Ours look like a jungle. We just got our tv last week and at the moment it's sitting on my hope chest. Not sure if it's going to hold but I'd love to find something like your stand to put it on!
I love the TV stand. I love the organized cords too. I hate jumbled cords.
Love the cabinet. I especially like anything distressed. My husband could take a lesson on organizing cords. That is one of my pet-peeves. I cannot deal with cords showing and having them all tangled and knotted. HIs "to do" list has fixing the cords in our newly remodeled office on top of it. It has been several months and he still hasn't gotten around to it.
