And I'm nosy...
So here's the question: Have you or your husband ever gone on a vacation without each other?
My husband left yesterday for a week long scuba diving trip to Grand Cayman. I could have gone along too but decided I'd like to stay home and have the house to myself instead. Having the house to myself never happens.
So far...
I'm lovin' it!

I don't think there is anything wrong with taking a seperate vacation once in awhile. We each need a time to enjoy some of those things perhaps our spouse Does Not enjoy as much.
I like my girl time.
Hubby's probably need their guy time.
And....seriousl, it is wonderful to sometimes have the house all to yourself. We are both retired now, and living in a 950 sq. foot house in the country...around each other 24/7.
LOVE EACH OTHER DEARLY...but I have moments where I'm like..."so, do you have anywhere you'd like to go today..by yourself". (tee, hee)
and when he gets back think how ready you'll both be to "fall back into each others arms"
Well, since my husband is a pilot, he goes out of town all the time without me. It was hard in the beginning, but now I enjoy my alone time. And the boys and I have gone out of town to visit my parents without him too. We always joke, "How can I miss you if you don't go away?"
I think its a fine thing to do but we have never done it. Enjoy your house to yourself!
Last year, for the first time in our 29 years, I went on a 5 day trip with my sister. We had a great time doing something with just the girls! And he was really ready to have me home again, but I think he enjoyed some time to himself too. Enjoy your week!
HI!!!
MY hubby has to do work trips about 2 or 3 times a year, some are for recreational purposes!!!SO yes, he does go away. AND everyone knows I go on alot of trips with out him, not because I want to get away from him, but I go visit our daughter in Florida and MY HUBBY does not like To go visit the BIG MOUSE --her Boss, so he would rather stay home then have to go to a Theme Park everyday --and I love them!!!!
Hugs,
jamie
enjoy your week home alone!!!
We usually always go on vacations together, we've been away seperately on trips.
Enjoy your time at home alone, Linda!
Hugs,
Donna
Every summer the kids and I head up to Idaho without him. If only he had more vacation time we would invite him...maybe.
Since I travel for work a couple of days every few months, we are away from each other, but it's hardly a vacation
I can't see us doing that. We like to do things together so much, that I just can't picture it. But I don't see a problem with anyone who does
Enjoy your time alone..... I think most of us need some alone time.
I went to Israel with my best friends.... David didn't want to go and didn't mind staying at home.
Happy Sunday!
Is that the first time you have "vacationed" alone?
Sounds like fun!
Home to yourself?
I'm not sure I could have passed up a trip to Grand Cayman though.
Hope you have a wonderful week.
No we haven't vacationed alone. He
is gone on business trips so much that I'm always alone.
I am afraid that my husband and I have taken more separate vacations that those together...
He likes, rafting, diving, camping, cave climbing, rock climbing, skiing and well to be honest...My idea of a great vacation is seeing family.
I sometimes like to be alone...but for the past year I almost panic if someone is not with me...I know crazy hu.
I hope you enjoy your quiet time.
Hi Linda~
Steve and Jeven (our daughter) have taken a trip to visit his parents without me. Only because I decided to stay home and get some much needed things done. So we each had different vacations. It worked out slick. But normally we always go on vacation together.
Have a great day! Oh and give little Jake a hug from me :)
I just got back from Disneyland with my daughter and her kids. Hubs didn't go because he had too much work to do and timing was off. I had a blast with my *Littles* but missed my husband terribly...We both survived! Have a great week!

Yes- I have gone without Troy. Several times. he went on work vacations, if that counts without me. Man- I have spent the last week on the computer searching for a getaway like that with Troy. "Grand Cayman" Hawaii, anywhere that is beautiful & relaxing & just us.. And today Troy came home with the news of no more overtime. lay offs might start up & cut backs.. Pretty scary, when it is a family owned business & we aren't family... So I guess no vacation for us....
