So here's the question: Have you read the book "The Help" or seen the movie yet?
I read the book last year but went with 3 girlfriends who hadn't read the book to the movies last night to see it.
It was so fun for me to watch their reaction to certain scenes since I already knew what was coming.
We laughed!
We cried!
We loved it!

I loved it, both the book and movie. That said, I know many southern black women are very angry about it. I'd love to ask Eliot's childcare provider but can't figure out how to ask without offending. I guess even that is sad, "The Help" here at daycare is mostly African American. I like Eliot's caregiver very much...I trust her with my precious child!
I read the book and am dying to see the movie! I hope it's just as good! It is really getting great reviews!!

I also read the book last year and last week I went to see the movie with my mom and 2 of my best friends. We had all read the book and we all absolutely LOVED the movie!!!

Loved the book and since I loved it so much I am a little afraid to see the movie.
I don't enjoy reading and usually have a mild panic attack in theaters...so small with to many people...BUT, I can not wait for it to be on DVD.

I liked both the book and the movie. I wish I had a cross the country book club to have a discussion with. It would be interesting.
