This is the graduation announcement for a girl that we have known since she was only a few months old. Her brother and my son were in preschool together...and then a few years later she and my daughter went to the same preschool together. We attend the same church and so our family friendship goes way back. I would love to have shown you Kayla's beautiful graduation photo but her mother might not have appreciated me posting it over the internet! I think Kayla's heading down to a christian college (Point Loma) in San Diego in the fall. Good Luck Kayla! We love you!
I also received this cute magnet telling me to save the date for a bridal shower being given for my cousin Billie. Although Billie and I were best of friends growing up, we've lost touch. I was thrilled to get this so that I can reconnect with her and with some of my other relatives that I haven't seen for awhile too. I can't wait!
Do you have any family members that are graduating soon or getting married this summer? I can think of at least 2 of you with these exciting things happening in your families soon...congratulations Rhonda and Michelle!

Oh yes, we recived a wedding invite today for a wedding in Chicago June 14. It's for a friend of mine that I was very close to growing up but I don't think we'll make it.

No weddings that I know of yet but we'll have several graduation openhouses to attend. What seems so surreal is that the kids who are graduating are only a year older than my son and we've known them all since pre-school days...yikes, it means our time's a'comin, too! (How can that be? Time flies, doesn't it?!)
Have a great weekend...you know where I'll be...out in my garage! LOL
Tonight is our friends reception and then in 2 weeks is anothers. I will probably have a string of them to go to like always. It doesn't seem to end in my realm of relationships. Its all good though.
I think that both graduations and weddings are 2 positive things to celebrate. What fun you have ahead Linda.
My husband comes from a family of 8 siblings.... he's #7 out of 8. There is usually some thing going on some where, in some one's family....
And... that magnet is a GREAT idea....

I enjoyed reading your blog. I have gotten a ton of wedding invites, tis the season!
We have so many things coming up that I'm losing count. 1 wedding, 2 baby showers, 3 high school graduations, 2 college graduations, etc., etc. I just keep posting all the invites on my fridge in the hopes that I'll remember where I'm supposed to be!
