Home Sweet Home

We arrived home safely about an hour ago. Today was long and emotionally draining. I work tomorrow and Friday which is good because it will be a much needed distraction for me. No matter how old your kids are, it breaks your heart when you have to leave them.

In addition, I now feel guilt over how I made my mother feel.

I'm glad you're home, safe and sound. I can't even think about my kids going to college.
Here's to a busy, distracting day!

I've been catching up on your posts and you have been one busy lady! Glad you got home safely and are no longer dealing with this nasty heat!
My daughter has moved out of the house a couple of times and each time is more difficult than the last. I know this next time will be the last time and I'm not looking forward to it at all!

Oh Linda! I thought about you all day yesterday hoping you were doing ok.. I remember when my parents left me at college, it was hard, but so needed...
You are such a Great mom. I loved your advice & your thoughts on being a mother you gave me. The last few days when I get frustrated I think about you & you saying you listened & didn't fly off the handle at things..
Thanks for your friendship..

Thanks for your comment on my blog the other day about sending my daughters off to school. It somehow makes me feel comforted to know that I'm not crazy for crying and feeling lonely to have my darling daughters/friends leave home! You're right--how can we feel so proud of their accomplishments and at the same time so sad at their leaving? It's what I want for them--to grow up and have all those fun college experiences--but I'm still sad and will have to adjust to their absence.

Anyway, thanks for the cyber-hug. I needed it.
