As of right now, we probably won't be making an offer. Whose to say what the future holds but with the economy the way it is, we're not jumping into anything, especially since we have some concerns.
The owner recently got an offer slightly less than asking price. She felt that she had been low-balled (and we were going to offer less). In this economy, we just don't see how she can expect full price. Time will tell.
Do you remember me telling you about my good friend Cindy from work who moved to Oregon a month ago? Well, I called her this morning and we were able to meet for lunch today! It was great to see her but so strange for both of us to be here in Oregon, carrying on like normal. I hated to say good-bye and have been kind of depressed ever since. I just want to bring her back "home" where she belongs. Of course, she's still adjusting to the newness of it all but is loving her 5 acres. She has horses and they are loving their space too. Truthfully, I'm very happy to see her dream come true...but best friends are hard to say good-bye to.
The weather has been rainy but not too cold and everything is green and beautiful. We'll start to head home tomorrow and will stay the night at a nice RV park right on the Rogue River. Oregon has the prettiest lakes and rivers...and hopefully one day I'll live on or near one of them.

One of these days you and your hubby will have to pack up that RV and head to Oklahoma. We have some pretty lakes (nothing like Oregon, I'm sure....but)
I'm praying that you and your husband will have a complete peace regarding the new business and if you should do it or not.
I'm glad you got to see your friend. Sounds like she has a beautiful place....5 acres...& horses.
Last Thursday it was 81 degrees here and today they're saying we're going to get ice! Crazy!
Have a good week, Linda.
Hi Linda,
I've never been to Oregon, but I've heard it's beautiful! Share some pics, if you get the chance! Would love to see them! Have a safe trip home...and I understand what it's like having to say goodbye to your bestie. It never gets easy.
Right now would be a little scary to buy a new business.
I hope that one day you find the perfect place on the water.
Sounds interesting and beautiful! If you are looking for a lake--Montana has quite a few! But right now its -2 degrees--not exactly a heatwave.
It sounds like y'all are having a great road trip. How fun to meet up with a friend that moved there. I have heard Oregon is GORGEOUS but have never been there.
You are in Oregon!!! HELLO!!!
Have a safe trip!
Come on down to TX some time. We've got a room waiting for ya'll!
"All Ya'lls" as we like to say.

How fun! ENJOY!!! (What kind of business? Would you move THERE to run it??)
I think you're wise with your decisions. The right opportunity will come along.
In the meantime, enjoy the scenery!
Oh Linda, you naughty thing, you were so close to me and you didn't call???? LOL! But seriously, next time you make a trip, email and my sister, Kathi, and I both could meet you somewhere! That would be a blast.
Have a great evening!
