So here's the question: This week we witnessed history in the making. Did you watch the inauguration, and if so, what did you think?
I had to work on inauguration day so I didn't get to watch it. What I was able to see I watched from the patient's TVs as I walked by.
I watched our new President's speech today on the computer.
Obama wasn't my presidential hopeful, but I'm hopeful that he will bring about change. I have hope that the things he talked about in his speech will come to fruition and I have hope for the future of our nation. Our country is in dire straights. He's certainly got his work cut out for him.

Yes, I watched the inauguration. I love American history, and history was definitely made! I voted for him, so I hope he doesnt let me down!LOL He definitely has his work cut out for him!
I can't imagine ever wanting to be the President! Obama was not my candidate, either, but now he is my president and I pray for his success.
I listened to the inauguration at work and watched part later at home on DVR. The quartet with Yo-Yo Ma and Iztak Perlman was breath-takingly beautiful.
I watched it all morning with Lala and Ham. He isn't who I voted for, but maybe he is just what this country needs to make the changes necessary to be strong again.
Now if we could kick out all of congress and start all over again...then we might have something good!
I watched the inauguration, on and off all day. I didn't plan my day around it, but it was nice to take a break and relax in front of the tv.
I am hoping for things to get better. Time will tell.
Although I do believe this was a historical moment for many reasons, I just couldn't stand all the "you'll remember where you were when Obama was elected/inaugurated" stuff. I personally think those moments are for the truly unexpected historical events. I also can't stand that so much money is spent on these things. The election and now this. What we could have done with all that money. Oh and he wasn't my candidate either, but I do support our President.
i watched all day and night, linda. i'm a newsie, though. i hope the positive things he spoke of will indeed come to fruition. however, there are three main reasons that i didn't vote for him, and i really hope that GOD will lead him away from those things HIS WORD says are ungodly!!!
i want our country to be good and to prosper but not at the expense of the us becoming even more immoral than she already has!
rome taught us a valuable lesson long ago, and we really need to think about which direction we need to go so that history doesn't repeat itself with us!!!
love,
dani
Didn't watch it...we turned off our tv last week. All I can say, is we need to pray.
have a great weekend.

Yes, I did watch the inauguration.
I did not vote for Obama, but I will pray for him as I have done for past Presidents.
I am very concerned about his feelings on partial birth abortions and other issues.
I know that our country must rely on our founding father's belief in God. With out him protecting us we will struggle.
Yes, it was a historical event...but I think any inauguration is.
Obama was not my choice for president, and I do not agree with his reversing the abortion act thing, BUT I did watch! I was disappointed in the booing of Bush, but the rest I enjoyed very much. I watched until my local station switched to Oprah (can you believe that? ugh) I was impressed with his speech, his poise, just the whole thing. He seems to be trying to surround himself with wisdom - republican and democrat.
I too loved the quartet - Tis a Gift To Be Simple was played at
my wedding - love it.
I like the grace and mercy he showed Roberts after the mix up with the swearing in. I like that he kindly tapped Biden on the arm when he joked on Roberts, kindly correcting him.
I am hopeful to see what he will do - I pray and hope it is better leadership than any of us could imagine.
(sorry for the delete - had left out a couple words ) :)
No I didn't watch any of it. I have now seen little bits & pieces of it. I pray things will work out & he'll follow through on some of the things he says.
Linda,
I did watch and my sentiments are the same as yours. Our nation is in dire straights and Obama has a lot of pressure on him. There are so many things he promised and because this nation is under duress, we are all looking for someone to make things "right." I do not envy him at all.
I didn't watch, and I didn't vote for him, but he is now my president. I pray for him and that he will do good for our country.
Linda, you and Stalkermom took the words right out of my mouth!
I too will admit that he wasnt my first choice. But I wish him luck, I enjoyed his speech, and I now pray for him each night. We are in trouble, and I hope he can see his way clear to avoid the worst of it.
I watched enough to see everyone's outfit. :) I was babysitting so I couldn't watch it all. Like you, I didn't vote for him, but I will support him since God appointed him as our leader.
I did watch the inauguration. I have a prayer in my heart, that Obama will be able to make some changes that this country needs.
Morning Linda...I only got to see bits & pieces of it that day..I did say a prayer for him and this country all thru out the day..it is time the country turned around but it will take all of us pulling together. Thanks for coming by & yes I did paint the space under the bar area the same as the walls..it is called Deer Path by Benjamin Moore...one of my favorite paint colors! Hope you have a great Sunday friend!
I was sad. He was unkind to President Bush and I felt he made racial remarks. Hope he can get over these things and get on with being the President.

PS
I hate that he is using our tax dollars to kill babies.
