Until work interrupted my groove, I was accomplishing tasks left and right and my days were feeling very productive. This is the time of year that I get motivated to do projects around the house that we've put off doing for months (or years!) Our next project will be having new carpet installed. We've needed it for along time now but put it off because #1 it's expensive and #2 it's alot of work. ALL of our furniture will have to be moved and I'm truly not looking forward to the whole process but I just keep thinking about the end result. This will be a hugh project that we can finally scratch off of our to-do list. We were told it will be a 3 day job and have scheduled it for March 5,6,7.
I haven't had time to do much decorating in the "new" room but have picked out a theme and inspiration source. I'll take a picture tonight and post about it hopefully tomorrow. In the meantime, I've decided to turn that desk area I showed you into a little "gift wrapping" area. Once I get this put together it will come in so handy. I did buy 2 tension rods and hung ribbon from them. It was easy and turned out pretty cute...
Have a wonderful Sunday!

It is such a pain to do projects like getting new carpet, but you're right...it will be worth it.
I remember last year when I went to church camp as a sponsor and my husband and his friend put new flooring in the kitchen plus new tile, ceiling fan, light, texture & paint!
I was SO glad I was gone.
We need new carpet in the living room in the worst way. That might be our next big project.
I love what you've started in your daughter's room. That'll be so nice to have that all fixed up.
Have a great Sunday.
Love,
Valerie
The ribbons are cute like that. Sorry you had to work on a Sunday - that's a bummer even if they provide lunch.
I can't wait to see the end result. It's so fun to get new carpet (new ANYTHING really). It IS going to be worth it but I'm glad I don't have to move all the furniture!
Love the look of your ribbons...sorry about your work schedule not allowing you much time to get things accomplished that you'd like to. It will all come together...do not despair!
I hate those mandatory nurses meetings. Ours seem to always be on my day off too. Right now we are down a nurse so I'm working a lot, but someone is starting tomorrow so there is an end in sight!
I love your ribbon rods!
I hope your meeting wasn't too boring. Get some rest & go get a pedicure or something for yourself..
New carpet sounds great, but all the work. Yikes! What color carpet are you getting?
I love your idea for the desk. That fits you perfect..
The gift wrapping desk is a wonderful Idea. I love how you hung your ribbons.
You are such an amazing lady.
I appreciate you so much.
Good Morning Miz Linda,
I love your gift wrapping station! What a great idea and the baskets are so cute. Now you won't have to hunt your things or find a cleared off spot when you need to wrap something (which is what I have to do).
My little sign is stamped with clear stamps on cardstock using Tim Holtz' distress inks then matted on black cardstock. But I bet it could be printed out from a computer if you don't have stamps/inks. Have a great week!
Love the ribbonn idea! Wish I had a place for that. How exciting to get new carpet. I am dying for some wood floors over here.
Hi Linda, Oh my you do have your work cut out for you...having new flooring put in is like moving...everything has to be packed and moved out of the way, and I mean everything...but it will be so worth all the work!
I love the idea of the ribbon! I need to get my crafts and cards organized...SOON! Nancy
i hope your sunday at work was as short and sweet as it could possibly be!!! i hope your carpeting venture will be as well, linda:)
love what you have done with your new room thus far and can't wait to see what's next!!!
love,
dani
Oh, Linda, that is such a cute idea, I am going to have to copy it!!!
It makes me tired just reading this post! Busy, busy, busy! You will have to post pictures. I wanted to say a HUGE THANX for the bleesing sign that arrived in my mail---so sweet--I am going to try and snag the picture off your blog though--instead of taking even more time to take a pic and upload etc before I post a thanx on my blog. Is that alright? THings have been sooo crazy here with my Dad--your little "blessed" is already a treasure in my house!
Working on Sunday is the pits. Hope it was short and lunch was yummy.
