Look Who's Here!

Courtney couldn't fathom the idea of us being here without her and we couldn't fathom it either! Thankfully she was able to fly over from Arizona on Thursday and will go home Monday night. I'm so glad she was able to work out her schedule so she could vacation with us. We wanted Brandon to fly over also but he couldn't get away at this time. That's one thing hard about your children getting older, it can be difficult getting everyone together due to individual schedules and commitments. Brandon lives and works 3 hours away from us, plus works in the restaurant business, so we don't get to see him as often as we'd like. Hopefully, we'll all be together for Christmas!

We were originally going on the Zipline another day but rescheduled it so Courtney could go with us. WE LOVED IT! The above picture was taken while we were waiting for the tour to start. Courtney took alot of pictures but didn't bring her camera cord with her so I can't upload any pictures of me...proof that I did it, but here are a few pictures that I took with my camera.

There were 5 zipline courses that we went on. The first one was 100 feet across, with each consecutive course getting longer, higher, and scarier...

The first 4 courses didn't prepare us for course #5, with it's 750 feet in length. Our landing spot ends up being that white spot in the clearing, after you've zipped past it and back again. Course #5 was so high up that they had to use a ladder on rollers to unhook us from the zipline.

We had a great time and definitely would do this again. It took us 2 hours all in all but they also have another one here in Maui that is 4 hours long. We took our tour in an area called "up country." The longer tour is in the Kaanapali area where you have views of the ocean while you're zipping along. Maybe we'll check that one out next time.

If you visit Maui, check out the Zipline. It's a very popular tour and I can totally see why. What an adrenaline rush!

Aloha!

How fun to have Courtney join you! Okay, now I'm scared of the whole zipline thing. I don't think I could handle #5. Way to go!

I am so glad Courtney was there with you guys for a few days. I can't believe you Zip lined! You go girl!!! That looks so fun. I can't believe how much I missed. of your blog. I thought I had seen it all.
But your comments about Chrismas & it feeling like June. That would be hard. At least now it's 77' in the day here & in the high 40's to 50's at night.. I love the cool weather but I would sure try that living for a little while just to see...
