Update On Macey And Brandon

Below is an update from Macey's family from just this morning...

"Hi everyone. Throughout the night and this morning Macey's condition has remained the same. She still has the fever and the ice blankets are still surrounding her trying to cool her down. She got a new nurse that has been very compassionate and willing to answer any questions. The brain pressure continues to fluctuate from 8-14, to put this in better perspective, the nurse informed us that "normal pressure" is 7-8 so she is still within a safe range. So please continue to pray that that remains the same, and for her temperature to go down so we can remove those ice blankets. She is still in the drug-induced coma and highly medicated so we haven't seen any signs of responsiveness, but she knows she has all the time in the world, and God will heal her in His time. We appreciate all the prayer requests that are going on this Sunday in churches around the world. It truly brings us comfort to know this is going on today. Macey has been given a new day with new promises and hope. Continue to pray. We'll update throughout the day. We love you so much Macey."

Please keep the prayers going. Also, if you will, please remember my son in your prayers too as he is still hospitalized. He keeps battling a temperature too. We'll be heading down to Orange County this afternoon to be with him. They're talking possible surgery and I just keep praying that it's not needed. If it has to be, it has to be, but Brandon is a 24 year old without insurance. Because he's over 21, we haven't been able to have him on our policy for a few years now. His hospital bill is going to be staggering as it is, much less if surgery is needed.

Oh, and guess what else! My front tooth chipped! I look like a hillbilly! My tooth was fine when I went to bed Friday night but I woke up yesterday with a chipped front tooth. I seriously must be grinding my teeth in my sleep these days. I'll have to hobble into the dentist's office when we get back home. I'm gonna look so pretty talking to Brandon's doctors with my front tooth all chipped up and walking on crutches!

I just keep reminding myself, this too shall pass!

Thanks for the update. I'll be praying for all of you. There is a lot of things causing stress in your life, so a little tooth grinding is understandable.

Wow! I love that you are keeping your sense of humor during this whole mess. You are a good woman. I know that this is not how you wanted to be spending December. Maybe you can decorate your boot. My friend bedazzled my brace when I broke my leg. If you have to wear it it might as well be pretty.

Oh my! There's more going on that I realized. My prayers will continue to be with all of you. I hope Brandon can avoid surgery but if not, I'm glad we live in a day and age where he can get what he needs to make a full recovery.

Hi Linda,
Isn't it strange how we can have a fairly uneventful year and then have everything go so terribly wrong all at once. I will keep Brandon and your family in my prayers along with Macey and her family. Yes, this too shall pass! Hugs, Loretta

Oh Linda, I am so sorry to hear all of these things. My prayers are with beautiful Macey. This is such a sad thing. I pray that the swelling and pressure will go down and she will wake up without any brain damage. I will pray for the family and friends as well. Also, I will pray for your son and everything else that's going on in your life.

I wanted to thank you for the sweet surprise that I got in the mail! You are such a dear. The ornaments are so beautiful and look so lovely on our tree. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness.

May the Lord bless you and give you peace.

Love, Sharon

Oh my goodness in spite of all this saddness and tragedies in your life ----you have to admit. Thinking of you with a chipped tooth and on crutches is rather hysterical. SOMEWHERE in life, there is always a little humor if we look through it. Or otherwise, all the difficulties could destroy us.
I will continue to pray for Macy and your son. Seriously, this medical insurance thing is something that so need some better "solutions". But, I don't know what that is.

AND GUESS WHAT, I picked up my chocolates from town post office today. We have a little postal box so packages don't fit in there. It was so fun to get something in the mail.
I can't even tell you how excited I was...such a little thing and gesture by YOU and it made me feel sooooo good. So, thanks for your kindness and the smile it put on my face....the the lbs it'll put on my hips (tee, hee)

Hope all goes well these next few days, weeks. Such hard things to go through at Christmas. I pray for God's blessing to be on you all Linda.
