Photo Resolution 2010

3/52:

It has rained off and on for the last few days, turning our backyard into one big water hole. That walkway out to the pool has been flooded non-stop. Believe it or not, we have a drain under the grass to the right of the walkway that leads all the way out to the front street to drain water. Right now the drain is completely flooded over. It hasn't been able to keep up with the recent downpours.

The forecast calls for rain all week!

What is Photo Resolution 2010? You can read about it here.

It looks like lots of water. Do you have an ark?

Hi Linda,
That is indeed a lot of water! My oldest daughter is doing the photo a day thing. I don't take very good photos so I will just sit back and enjoy yours and hers!

I've been following the stories of all the rain CA. has been getting. I know you're all ready for a BREAK! Rain, rain, go away!!! Have a good one, Linda!

I've been hearing on the news about all the rain, and then the mudslides or risk of them.
I hope you only suffer the excess water, and no risk.
Good luck with your pictures!

Oooh but your pool is pretty!

Hoping the rain comes to a halt...my backyard is saturated at the moment but it is due to lots of melting snow. The dog's feet are a muddy mess every time I let her out. Yuk.

Linda: that looks exactly like our backyard. Aren't you glad you are home and not having to go out in this weather? I hope you are feeling better. XOXO

Our backyard is flooded too. At least we are having sunny skies during the day.

Beautiful backyard!
Glad you are getting rain I think.
Isn't rain good?
Flooding is not.

Hope you are having a great day.

So where is "here" to check out the meaning of photo resolution 2010?? ( sorry , I am dense sometimes)

Rain, ah, sounds perfect right now as opposed to snow and ice. BUT, no matter what is thrown at us --or dumped on us ---it is sometimes too much eh. You have a pool?? I wanna come sit by your pool and drink Iced Tea. Can I come/

and the lights. Neat idea. We have recessed lights in our kitchen too and YA KNOW WHAT --we can't turn them on in the fall and winter as the flies come out of there --and we can't figure out how in the blankety blank that happens. So we installed to flouresent lights UNDER the cabinets so we could have some lighting. That isn't a problem in the spring and summer --as all the flies then go outside. Damn flies.

Ummm Can I come live in your backyard this summer? J/K - It is so pretty and all I can see is a slice.
I have heard you are getting loads of rain in those parts - I guess they weren't kidding.
I hope you dry out soon :D

That's a lot of rain. I've been watching the news about all the flooding going on over there.
Stay safe!

Luvpilot was flying up and down the west coast the other day in all the storms. Luckily he wasn't flying when the tornadoes were around. We are getting hit with rain too, with chances of flash flooding. I'm wondering if my pool will overflow today. Rain is good, but the gray skies make me lazy!

I hope the rain stay's out side of the house and you don't get any flooding in your home.

If my mom gets to come and have iced tea then I get to come right?.....hahaha

I like rain but not when I have to get out and drive in it!
I love the idea of a picture a week, definitely manageable!

Hi Linda~I'm so glad you came to my birthday celebration...it was a lot of fun for me and I have enjoyed meeting so many new friends.
I hope you are safe this week and not in a mudslide area...that is so scary! Water is so powerful!
Take good care!

It looks peaceful and snug to me. A few indoor-looking-out days are nice as long as there are not too many. I can imagine how wonderful it will be on a warm sunny day!
