Luckily Sooner, Rather Than Later...

I've been on the lookout for a little side table to go upstairs in our loft area. I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for something expensive yet I didn't want a piece of junk either. I figured I'd run across something that would work sooner or later. Sure enough, a few weeks ago I found this table at the GW, brand new and still in the box, with the glass top included. Do you remember these tables? I know they used to sell them at Mervyn's but I wouldn't even know where to look for them these days.

I know it was meant to be because would you believe I also found the ivory tablecloth on the same day. These are special tablecloths for these tables, so really, what are the odds!?! It was even the right color!

I knew it needed something else to finish off the look so I went to Joann's and picked up some material to make a small table topper. I bought about a yard of some pretty toile fabric, hemmed the edges with iron on fabric tape, and viola! The perfect little side table. I love it when a plan comes together!

Hi Linda! Thanks for stopping by my blog! I have used these little tables in the past and actually took mine apart and put them away in the basement. You never know when you might be able to use them again! If you ever need another, I believe places like Bed, Bath & Beyond carry them.

So cute.

I used to have a couple of those tables but got rid of them when the kiddos kept hiding under them and knocking them over. I think Ham would be so happy to have one again...

Great find!!!

Yes, moving and putting our house on the market has consumed every spare minute! I am worn out but know it will be worth it in the end.

Love the sneak peak of your pool redo. It's been unseasonably warm here in GA and everyone is opening up their pools all around us!

I was shocked to read about your friend Nancie. 28 seems so incredibly young. I am so sorry for your loss.

Cute table - I remember those tables also and have even used the actual table to put tile (mosiac style) and put it outdoors.
Thanks for visiting my blog and for the nice comment.

Sweet table topper - I love the colors !
Good luck with your home sale..I know the market isn't the greatest.
I live in Northern Colorado - North of Denver in the Fort Collins area. I am from California - moved here when I was in High School - from the bay area. I remember that I loved Colorado even as a teenager and you couldn't pay me to move back to California (I have lots of family that still lives there). Good luck and come by and visit again !
