And I'm nosy..
So here's the question: Which do you think is of more importance in life, love or education?
This is a hard one for me because I feel both are essential for fulfillment and self-confidence, but I think education is so so important, especially if you are a woman. What's that old saying "Love can't pay the bills!" Education can and does pay the bills!
Having said that, I want to say that having a love for my creator, my God, is way more important to me than anything else in this world. In fact, it's #1 for me, along with the love I feel for my husband, children, and family. Without this love, I'd be lost.
I was able to receive a very good education and have had a wonderful career (which I didn't start until my children were a little older by the way). It certainly has made me feel more fulfilled, more accomplished, more self-confident, and has allowed me to earn a very nice paycheck while doing a job that I love, but I know I have been blessed. I have a career that allows great flexibility and I was lucky enough to choose a career path that is 100% perfect for me.
I've been blessed in both departments, love and education. We will be celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary this year! It hasn't always been a bed of roses, but I'm glad neither one of us ever gave up!
Well, I guess I didn't answer that question very well did I! As you can see, I value and cherish both (but I still say education is imperative!)

Wow I am the first one to leave a comment. I gotta type fast.. I have such a fear of school, I grew up feeling dumb & not good enough to learn like others. I wanted so bad to go into nursing, but got overwhelmed with the classes..
So I would have to pick love. Although I would like to try school again someday..
Thank you so much for the book. That was so sweet & I am planning on sitting down to read it soon. I love ya my dear friend....
Yes- I typed fast enough & got #1.... hee hee lol
I'd have to agree with you in many ways, I feel education is really important, but on the other hand what is life without love. I'd say we were blessed if we have an equal amount of both.
Linda, I just received the doxie coasters in the mail today from you, what a sweet surprise, my dear friend! I will use them everyday. Thank you! I love them!!
Enjoy your day!
Hugs,
Donna
I think I have to agree with you.
I didn't go to school until my youngest was 6 weeks old. It was so hard, but it has been a perfect fit.
I think we are alike in this.
Love is critical.
Education is as well.
Let me put it this way, I'm a big believer in "LOVE conquers all!" Nuff said!:)
HI!!
GREAT QUESTION!!
I chose to get married 9 days OUT of high school, I was a mere 18 year old....I LOVE MY HIGH SCHOOL SWEETHEART TO DEATH... we are celebrating 35 years this summer....
with that said....I only have 1 regret in life...
I never went to college. I HAVE NOT 1 college credit.
I always said when the baby goes off to first grade, I am going to college, then there was dance classes, baseball classes, PTA, helping the teachers out, teaching Sunday School, I was a BUSY stay at home MOMMY. LUCKY for us, my hubby always had a GOOD --GREAT job.
But I still have a bucket list lingering....get some college credits.....
I WILL DO THIS....sign up for some English, history or just some fun photography classes, I WILL DO THIS!!
That is why WE INSISTED ON ALL 3 OF OUR KIDS GO TO COLLEGE....NO if's--and or buts about it. ALL 3 are College graduates and OUR SON is about to Graduate from LAW SCHOOL this MAY!!!
Not to bad from parents who never went to college.
I have friends who are college grads both of them and their kids did NOT go to college.
So I am glad we insisted and had the means to send them.
great Question today
hugs,
jamie
Interesting questions Linda - perhaps one could think of both as a stepping stone to the other. With an environment filled with love, a child or yourself will have more opportunities to succeed and be rewarded with the accomplishment of it. Feeling good about oneself will spawn creativity, joy, and a life desiring to better others and themselves. Therefore love could be seen as a stepping stone to education. Then one must also consider what is education? Is it the act of going to school - or can one assume that education is just a lifetime of learning? Both examples of education, if filled with love, allow one to be educated and keep educating oneself throuhout life. This was a great question Linda! Thanks :)
I'd say... without the love... the education wouldn't matter. (that doesn't necessarily refer to a mate... mostly God's love and people you care about). That said, I am a stong proponent for education, too.
Congratulations on 31 years! Awesome!
I am pretty much with you on most of that. But, I can't imagine anyone going through a whole life without love.......for the sake of education.
Education certainly paves a smoother path for existence in this hard ol'world we live in.
WOW...this is a very good question.
I believe that love conquers all.
And I also believe in finding your passion when it comes to having a career. Study it, learn as much as you can about it, and focus on that. Then hopefully a person will have a very fulfilled life doing what they love doing, and will also hopefully be blessed by being surrounded with a lot of love in their life. ♥ What could be better than those two things?!!!
I'm all for education but truth be told, I have none.
I got lucky, worked hard and do okay for myself. I know what my life is like without the education.
But without Splenda Daddy? I would be devastated and miserable.
Gonna have to say love trumps education - at least in my case
With education you earn a living, but love makes a life.
