Thanksgiving Decor

I have so many Halloween, Christmas, and Easter decorations that I could fill a storage unit but my Thanksgiving decor is slim pickins. Really, when you think about it, what sort of decorations could be made for Thanksgiving anyway other than turkeys and pilgrim people...both of which are the only decorations I own.

Let me show you some of my pilgrims. Pilgrim people #1...

Pilgrim people #2...

Pilgrim people #3...

Pilgrim people #3 are candlesticks. This poor pilgrim lady looks like she's wearing a tampon on her head!

Every holiday in my house includes candles and a decorative plate to celebrate the occasion...

So other than a few things left over from my fall decorating, this is it, not much for Thanksgiving. It makes me kinda sad because I love Thanksgiving but in just over one short week it will be a whole different story. I have oodles and oodles of Christmas goodies and I'll have lots to share.

In the meantime, what does your Thanksgiving decor look like? Do you have lots of pilgrim people too?

ROFL! I love the Tampon Lady and her conehead friend, too...you're so funny! Love that turkey plate, too, it's so whimsical!

As long as I get stuffing, I am a happy gal on Thanksgiving, they can keep their decorations, just bring on the food! ;)

I love the plate. So cute.

BTW I think people back then wore tampons on their heads. m

Same as Bella...ROFL over the Tamponed Pilgrim lady!!

I have two sets of pilgrim people-one a whimsical wooden set picked up at a friend's garage sale, the other a solid white porcelain set picked up at Goodwill for $2 each about three weeks ago. I also have a large, dangle-leg turkey that I got at the thrift store a couple of years ago for $2, and a large cornucopia on my dining table that my mom made for me probably 20 years ago.

I LOVE your turkey plate!!

Hi Linda ~ LMAO, you're tooo funny with the tampon head lady!!!

I usually decorate with pumpkins and fall leaves, as well as turkeys and pilgrim people. But I agree, I have WAY more Christmas decor...sometimes I don't know where I put it all!!!

Michele

I basically stick to the pumpkins and leaves and such. No pilgrims around here. They are cute. Funny how they didn't have tampons back then either.

How funny about the tampon! It does sorta look like that after you mentioned it.

I have very few Thanksgiving decorations and it seems like the ones I do have I forget to get them out. It is sad that Thanksgiving is a quickly here and gone.

Now, Christmas decorations...that's another story. I love Christmas. It's my favorite. And I do love my candles...most every scent, but those Christmas scents are my favorites.

It is 75 degrees here in Oklahoma today! I don't think it'll be that for long so I'm enjoying!

I don't have much Thanksgiving decor, sadly enough! I have just an arrangement for my dining room table. Most of what I have is Christmas stuff...my favorite time of year!

Love your decorations!

I have lots of Pilgrims -- love them. While you may have slim pickens at least you have darling decor.

Still chuckling over the "tampon on top of her head." I love this time of the year and a few years back stopped purchasing "Halloween" and just started to invest in more "Autumn" type decorations.

I love your stuff.

Have a great week.

I had to laugh at the "tampon" remark, never would have made that a description but it sure looks like it.

I agree with you, I don't think there are too many things you can classify as "Thanksgiving" decorations. I have pilgrims, pumpkins (unless they really look like Halloween) out, a cornucopia and even a scarecrow.

Like you I don't have very much Thanksgiving decor. I have a shelf sitting pilgrim and turkey with dangling legs that are pretty funny. I like your tampon pilgrim too!

I think we were all ROFL about the poor candle lady!!!!

I love candles, I burn them every night, there is just something so relaxing about having them burning.

I was tempted to send you the organza stuff in burnt orange because you mentioned that you needed fall decorations, then I changed my mind and sent the pink, now I wish I had sent the orange.......

Have a wonderful week my friend..xx
