For me, another benefit from blogging has been learning about other religions. For example, I have met and become close friends with many wonderful blogging women who are Mormon. Honestly, I didn't know much about the Mormon faith and what I did know was incorrect. Through blogging, I have been educated. I now have a new found respect and understanding of the Mormon faith, and I have a great respect for my Mormon women friends. Ladies, I so admire the devotion to faith, family, and service that you have. You inspire me daily!
If I've learned anything, I've learned of the great reverence for the temple, the love of the prophets, and especially the love of President Gordon B. Hinckley. So now knowing all of this, when I saw a VHS tape at a thrift store recently, I knew I had to buy it. The VHS is in it's original wrapper and has never been opened. The tape is called "An Evening of Celebration...with President Gordon B. Hinckley", celebrating his 90th birthday at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City. It features the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square as well as other guests.
I picked up this tape with my friends in mind, thinking you may like to add this to your collection. If you're interested, just leave me a comment. I'd love to pass it on to someone who would enjoy having it.
When I'm out and about and I see something special, I'm always thinking "oh, my blogging friend_______ would love that" or "that would look great in _______ house!" I feel such a connection with many of you. It's a beautiful thing, the closeness and friendships that women develop. The only thing that would make it perfect were if we were all neighbors. Now wouldn't that be awesome!

I agree Linda. I feel like I have made so many friends through blogging and wish we could have a big 'ol get together!
I am glad you have learned more about the Mormon faith. Your words really touched me.
There are so many good women out in this big world - I am glad you are one of the ones I have met through blogging!
Like you and Cherie, I agree. I feel so blessed. And Linda, I count you in my group of friends through blogging. I am blessed!!!
what lovely things to say. thanks linda. Alies are always a good thing to have.
How are you? I missed seeing that little Jake's face all summer. how is he?
You are SO WONDERFUL!!!! Why don't you watch and listen to the video. Open it up & watch it for a moment.. It's a really sweet video.
I actually looked for Courtney Friday night at the Tempe Lakes thing. I thought I wonder if I could recognize her if I saw her. But honestly there were not many college students around. I would of went up & gave her a big hug though & said Hi Lil SIS!!!
I wonder if she would of known who I was.. Probably after she saw the girls with me! Not too many blonde women with 2 little black girls....
Linda,
I feel the same way about my blogging friends. We learn so much about and from each other and yet we've never met. It would be great to be neighbors and get to know each other better and get ideas from each other and even borrow a cup of sugar.
That video you found is just so sweet with beautiful music to celebrate Pres. Hinckley's 90th birthday! I watched it on TV a while back and loved it!
I hope you have a marvelous day!
I sure hope to feel like that too real soon! Everyone who has made comments to me and my new blog have been so sweet. You being one of them, thanks Linda for being a blogging friend in the making!

It's amazing how close we can feel to people we've never met, isn't it? This was a lovely tribute to friends you've become close to.
Linda,
Thanks for thinking of us. It is a wonderful feeling knowing that others feel the same way. I agree with Jan.
i, too, have learned a lot, linda, and love and think of you often, my friend:)
much love,
dani xxx
What a sweet post that I couldn't agree more with.
Oh Linda that would be fun indeed --if we were all neighbors, would we get anything done??? I appreciate my blogger friends as well. With this move up here, so far I have NO friends. you are kinda isolated in the country. I need to get to church so I can meet a few people. so, I rely on my blogger friends to help fill my days with "women" who know and feel what I feel.
I will do a better job now that I am settled of stopping by.
