I usually do set a few New Year's resolutions or goals for myself but I don't write them down on paper. I'm going to write them down this year. Maybe it will make me more accountable if it's on paper.
I know one thing for sure, after not being very mobile this past month, one of my goals will be to start exercising again when I'm able. I'm looking forward to getting back out there and walking. You don't realize how much you take something for granted until you can't do it anymore.
Last year I said I was going to cut back on computer time. Yeah right! Truthfully though, I did cut back but it's a resolution worth repeating.
Then there's the cook more, clean more, sleep more, eat less goals. You know the drill!
I'm looking forward to the new year with a new beginning. 2009 was a tough year for alot of people in alot of ways. I say welcome 2010!

Oh, Linda, thanks for the reminder... I havent written my goals down now for several years but this year I am going to!!!
Amen Sista!
Hope you get to enjoy more mobility!
Hugs and Happy New Year to you!
Cheers to 2010,
great question. no, i don't make resolutions, but do set goals to achieve by the end of the year...is that the same thing?
I always set goals and one that I actually followed through on this past year was Scripture memorization.
Beth Moore gave us the challenge and I memorized all 24 verses of Psalm 139.
We were to memorize 2 verses a month. This passage worked out perfectly.
I'm definitely going to do that again.
I always say I'm going to get on the treadmill more....watch my portions, drink more water etc. etc. and I don't always follow through with those, but I'm gonna try hard again to be better.
I'm turning 50 in February....so I'm trying to work on becoming a little more fit before 50. I don't have long.....I'd better be really good! :)
HAPPY NEW YEAR, Linda!!!
Yes, I write them down and some are the same every year. I feel it is helpful to have them written down.
We will stay home and have lobster dinner as they were on sale at the grocery store today. I'll pretend that I'm in Hawaii...
Warmly,
Deb :)
Hi there..thanks for the visit to my blog...Come say hi any time! I love meeting new friends..have a great week! :D
I don't usually do resolutions, but this year I am starting Mission: THRIVE on my blog! I am going to really give some thought to what I need to do to "thrive" and set some goals to move in that direction. I'm hoping the accountability will be a boost! =) Happy New Year, Linda.
I usually have easy resolutions so I don't feel like such a loser come February. I think this year I am going to resolve to clean out my cedar closet and go ahead a knock that out during the first week (while the kids are still home from college and are eagerly anxious
to help). (NOT) That way I will feel so good about myself! :)
I'm torn about making goals this year because I haven't done very well with keeping most of them in the past. But then again, I have kept some of them so maybe I should make some. It's a conundrum really.
I have goals but not resolutions.
I have a one year goal, a five year goal and a ten year goal.
But NO resolutions (can't keep them).
I am HORRIBLE at keeping goals. Really bad. I don't know why I always stop or give up? I write them down, I post them, I think about them. But most of the time I never stay with it.. Pure laziness I am sure.
That's what I need to change. And that I get overwhelmed & want to change everything all at once & get down on myself to easy so I give up!
Your a great inspiration! I will do better!
